The Happy Birthday Thread!

You're nearly 12 years older than my father. Which means you're not that old because my father's just a big child who doesn't know any better. You should see the way he eats in front of me. I think you're lucky, though. Depending upon your experiences after High School, your generation had a much easier school-related childhood than I or anyone I knew growing up.

Thanks for all the good wishes. It is a very special day, and I plan on having a lot of fun with my family and will probably just make it a lazy day. When you get my age you thank the Lord for each day you can take a deep breath.
I special gift that I got this morning. A T-Shirt with the number "66" on the front, and on the back it says: "I know I am getting older......But......
I REFUSE TO GROW UP!!!!"..........................it fits me perfectly, in more ways than one.
Thanks again, everyone.

No forcing necessary. We are going to the 6:15 show this evening.I bet you could force your kids to take you to see Cars again. Very Happy

That's right, it's time for this thread to rise from its slumber! I'm only covering the past few weeks and for active forum members who were with us last year, so please take no offense if I don't mention you. Likewise, don't take offense if I didn't write you a little paragraph when you did a +1 to your age. The paragraphs grew out of me wanting to bring some sense of community back to this place and having a bit of time to spare. (Over an hour later, I didn't expect this post to be so time-consuming!)
In fact, if you are one of the overlooked, let me know and become a regular member. Then I and everyone else will have to remember your birthday next year.
Happy belated birthdays to...
Mr. Toad
You've been J. Thaddeus Toad for over a year, but I still think of your old moniker (JimmyJackJunior) when I see a Jimmy John's establishment, for some reason. You may not be all about the wrestling anymore, but you should have to wrestle us all if you ever decide to be one of those types that leaves UD. We need you here! Besides, you are among the few around here who have kids, which gives you both an excuse for being a UDer and a responsibility not to ditch us. After all, what kind of an example would quitting the forum set for them?
Hope you had a wonderful birthday on July 22nd, perhaps with a serving or two of some classic old school animation to sweeten the day!

It's been nearly a year since you last posted and altogether, you haven't even done this enough times for your slick avatar to show up next to your 45 posts. But for some reason, I know you. And I like you too, Sam! You run a cool Golden Girls website and I'm sure it occupies a lot of your time, like this site occupies mine (and I know first-hand how persistent some "Golden Girls" fans can be about getting DVD news via e-mail), so for that your absence is excused. But, please come back and tell us about your July 23rd birthday in jollie old England. Hope it was swell! I also hope you got my card. (It was the one that said "Thank you for being a friend.")

Not unlike the grasshoppers in A Bug's Life ("they come, they eat, they leave"), you come, you post, and you leave. Of course, the coming is always more pleasant than the going. The few days you "spent" with us this May were both nice and unexpected, after 15 months of being away. Hope you had a great special day, though I'm not counting on hearing about it anytime soon. I suppose you already have one of these, but if not, consider it your virtual gift:

Happy 20th birthday, Catalina! Sadly, you're another longtime forum member who has gone missing for several months. A check of your MySpace reveals you're both busy and well. That's good to hear. Don't forget to check in with your ol' UD friends too! I know I'm in suspense to hear what you thought of Leroy & Stitch!
brownie
I don't think I've personally addressed you on many occassions (if any), but you've been around here for over a year and I hope you'll be with us for many years to come. Thanks for sticking around! I wish that there were more forum members like you - literate, friendly, interesting and with great taste in movies and television (hey, you're about two complete-series viewings of "Freaks & Geeks" ahead of me). Hope your birthday on August 5th was just dandy and perhaps someone was kind enough to help you boost your DVD collection. If not, well, it's already pretty dang sweet as is!
Dave Wadding
Another forum member whose presence I appreciate greatly (and not just because he shares my passion for Pals-directed sarcasm), this one celebrated his 20th birthday yesterday! Keep on rockin'! Your posts are a regular source of amusement (and not in any unintentional way) and insight.
Also celebrating birthdays in this period were dvdjunkie and Disney Lover, who I've already greeted recently in this thread.
I guess I can point out that this thread could really use the help of a regular forum member to keep it going. RJKD23 (a.k.a. Krystal) had expressed interest in it and carried it out a little bit, but she has gone missing like deathie mouse before her. They both have lists more complete than you or I, unfortunately.
Even if you can't help oversee this thread, you too can join in with the birthday greetings! In fact, if enough people do this and issue unique individually-tailored messages (instead of merely copying-pasting-bolding-coloring), we can take this out of the land of Polls & Games and give Off-Topic another edge for next year's UD Forum of the Year award. Whaddya say?
