Wow Lux so glad you got to be outside for the premiere and meet Jodi!
It's so cool that Sierra remembered you! It felt great for me two nights later, so you must have made a real impression for her to recognise you months later!
I agree with you about the finale lyrics. I miss the "wedding vow" verses as well, but at least the new lyrics are good (3rd night they just cut the verses completely). What I really miss, much more than I thought I would, is the Pilot's reprise of Fathoms Below.
I like the sound of the new ending as I always liked Triton turning her back to human and letting her go. Does he have the line "how much I'm going to miss her" before he changes her back. That line always makes me go misty eyed when watching the film.
The trap door for Ursula sounds much better as well.
The program looks amazing! And I have to add that magnet to my collection (have one for B+B, TLM, MP and Tarzan). The new shirt also looks great.
Who else came out of the stage door? Anyone else remember you?
Glad you had a great time!

By the way, the official Mermaid website for the musical now has clips from all of the songs as well as new videos. Check it out!

Re: Little Mermaid singing video
I just watched that today, and on my own, without knowing you were here with your link. I was very impressed, I mean, not only does it sound like a girl singing, but it is very good singing, and beautiful, too!DisneyFan1986 wrote:Hi everyone

I find it hard to believe you kept quiet about this for so long, though.

Wow, a C? At least the majority of viewers think it's a more than a C. That upsets me a bit, but everyone's entitled to their opinions.
I would be terrible as a critic.
I would find any reason to give it at least a B. I'm too nice, and I feel bad too easily.
But I personally loved the show and can't wait to see it again.

Like at the door after the show?nachonaco wrote:What's the best way to ask Sherie and Sierra if they would sign my Playbill?
They come out with their own sharpies and sign right away. You have to (obviously) ask for a picture, but they say yes.
I just held out my poster and told them how amazing they were.
EDIT: My post was directed toward Sierra and the rest of the cast, excluding Sherie. I never got to meet her yet because she supposedly left earlier through a different exit, but I know people have met her before the same way I mentioned above.

Man has a dream
And that's the start
He follows his dream
With mind and heart
And when it becomes a reality
It's a dream come true
For you and me!

Where can I read the lyrics to the new songs? When I listened to the virtual opening night, they said to go to playbill.com/mermaid to read lyrics, but I went there and there are no lyrics. Or maybe i'm not looking hard enough??
I see red carpet photos and production photos but no lyrics.

I'm not sure where a lyrics page is. There is this one:
http://www.allmusicals.com/l/littlemermaid.htm
but it barely has any of the new songs.
The Little Mermaid on Broadway's official site has updated the news with this:
"Sierra Boggess of THE LITTLE MERMAID to appear on THE VIEW- February 1st
On Friday, February 1st, Sierra Boggess, star of Disney's THE LITTLE MERMAID will perform on ABC's "The View." Boggess, who plays 'Ariel,' will perform "Part of Your World." "The View" airs nationally on ABC (channel 7, WABC in the tri-state area). Check local listings.
Disney's THE LITTLE MERMAID is currently playing at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre.
Walt Disney Records will release THE LITTLE MERMAID original Broadway cast recording on Tuesday, February 26."
Here is the link to the news page:

They also changed the front picture. It's my favorite one to date.

It's the one I ordered at the theatre, so if you did the same, expect yours soon I presume.

When the date was changed but not reflected on the DisneyShopping site, I called them and asked. They said it would ship on Jan. 29th...
Should I call again and ask for new/better info?

If it's the same as ordering at the theatre, I would wait just a little bit longer. They told me that it would be mailed to me February 5th, but it came today, so maybe it was the 29th. You could call if you'd like to, but I also live in New York so it takes less time to ship.nachonaco wrote:When the date was changed but not reflected on the DisneyShopping site, I called them and asked. Two new videos have been added to the 'Videos' section of the official website; one of opening night, the other of the cast recording.

Enjoy.
PS: nachonaco, did you ever receive your soundtrack?

I'm not too thrilled with Triton's songs on the cast recording... am I alone here? It's kind of like Doug Wright just stopped trying there...
I dig Sherie, just as long as you don't listen expecting Pat Carroll.
