I used to love those. Ummm #1 pick is Mariah Carey! I agree with Whitney being a good choice... or some other soulful divas like Patti Labelle or Deborah Cox.

I would love it to be Mariah (if it happens). If not maybe Alicia Keys, since she wanted the role so badly.

I'd like to see it be someone more modern - like Jordan Sparks or even Raven Symone.

I'd prefer Beyonce if they have to do this. She'd nail it vocally. Her voice is perfect and warm for a jazz tune. She's a big name singer and she has some artistic integrity (unlike Mariah). Her rendition of At Last in Cadillac Records is beautiful.

She's always doing good in the charts so if they can release a song in advance it would create amazing publicity as well.

My pick would either be for Alicia Keys or Leona Lewis.

My pick would be Corbin Bleu... :)

I kind of can't imagine there not being a pop song over the credits, since every DAC since B&tB has had one...right?

I'd second the Beyonce idea, actually. Never thought I'd say that. I've never been a fan per se of her music career, but she managed to wow me in both "Dreamgirls" and "Cadillac Records", so I'd love to her do something else different.

I love the idea of an up and coming singer who no one has really heard of, like when Celine Dion did B&TB, no one that is too popular like Beyonce, Mariah, or anyone like that. Like maybe an actual New Orleans jazz singer or someone to that effect. But knowing Disney it will probably be whoever wins season 8 of American Idol, or one of their Disney Channel make-believers (they are not actors, I don't care what anyone says).

Hmm, you know the Dr. John song in the teaser trailer? Could that song possibly be the one that plays over the credits in the film?

I think that this song will probably not be in the film (or in the credits) at all. It is just too similar to "When you wish upon a star". I think they used it as a way to tie the old to the new. I like the song though, It's nice to hear a classic-sounding Disney song.

I'm pretty sure it was made clear by Randy Newman that song was written for the film - so it will be in there somewhere.

I have no doubt Anika will sing in the movie. I mean, why the hell not?

And if Raven touches this, I will scream.

I don't know. If this were a sequel, I would definitely expect a tween star, but their theatrical films always have professional/classic singers at the end of their films.

To be honest, if I were to pick a well-known artist, Houston would be the only one I'd want to hear. I couldn't imagine any of the others singing in or at the end of a Disney film. They're just way too "modern"-sounding.

I also agree that the song from the trailer doesn't seem like it should be at the end of the film. It's way too mellow--no way to end a film like this one!

Well it doesn't have to close the film - it could always open the film.

I remember that people were saying that Randy Newman was singing the songs he composed for the film. Similar to the music in Toy Story. Is that still true?

A) I never even heard that to begin with.
B) It's not true - Dr. John is singing one song, we can safely assume Anika is singing another.

Randy Newman is doing at least one song (and I believe he's doing the score). During a big Disney event, Randy performed a song, and Anika sang a song, too.

I thought he said at that same event "Dr John will be singing this".
