Oh I loved the cover too. I do hope the film carries that tone of mystery and hauntingness that the song does.

Careful. These kinds of expectations can get high and lead to disappointment as we've seen before.

I take back about the "strange choice" of Lana singing this song, it is amazing to listen to because of it's haunting mysterious sound.

I have to agree with most of you guys. Lana's version of Once Upon A Dream is pretty great.

What I love about this new trailer is that there seems to be a war going on for a good duration of the film with Maleficent creating the tree army of the moors, tree dragon included, and her fighting King Henry and the soilders.

Unlike Alice in Wonderland where the whole Alice fighting the Jabberwocky and the third act fight feels largely forced and cliched, Maleficent's great battles feel natural to the story and the world that our characters surrounds itself in. This was never in the leaked script, heck, not even a whisper of it, neither was Maleficent fighting various soilders with her magic and enjoys hurting them.

This does make me wonder about Linda Woolverton's writing style. I think that while this maybe better than her previous work on Alice, I think that she needs to write for an original work, or pick better source material that can be up her alley.

That one doll of Maleficent and her wings is confusing to me, unless if something has changed in the movie.

In the leaked script: Maleficent creates a barrier to protect the moors from the humans before she loses her wings and she is possibly in her brown outfit, while in the new trailer it seems that she is in her black attire when she summons the thorns. Now this is very confusing to me because, we have nothing on what would give a hint that Maleficent had wings in the footage that we have thus far.

Some of the dolls are nice looking though.

I don't really understand why everybody seems to still be clinging to the leaked script. From what I understand, the trailers confirm that there have been big changes... so why does it still matter?

Because that everyone is curious about said changes that were done by not only Dini, but Woolverton as well. That and everyone is hoping that the final version will be better than the "horrible abomination of a script", which I thought was interesting but needed desperate rewrites, so far, it's been the case.

I want to see this now. The teaser trailer did nothing for me. The new trailer is really good.
I really doubt I'll get anyone to go with me though :(

Not sure about Del Rey cover of Once Upon A Dream

I love Born to Die and Paradise but she sounds really bored here (I guess that's part of her style thinking about it)
Even if I'm not sure about it, it is creepy and really works with the trailer. Gives it a horror film feeling.
Settling Soul mates? That is grim. And I've played Monopoly alone.

Sorry to ask again, but does the google play free download work on iTunes ? I've read it was released on US iTunes on the 26th, but I can't spot it on the UK version as of yet. Does anyone else know ?

I think you just have to set up a shopping account w/ credit card # and such, but you won't get charged for the song.

I know it's Lana Del Ray singing but is it supposed to be Malifecent? It does sound a bit like Jolie and the lyrics are spooky if heard as if M is singing it eeirily to aurora?

This song could very well be Freddy Krueger's theme.

Edit: just saw the dolls...Wings? :?
