To be specific, Steve Hulett said that Clements & Musker's film which was previously reported (by him) to had been fully hand-drawn, now will only include "hand-drawn elements". An anonymous poster who claimed that attended Disney's Open House said that they are using a new technique that has never been done before. That's all we know about the project.PatrickvD wrote:I'm sorry but, didn't the TAG blog mention hand drawn is being used right now in a new way that hasn't been done before?

I thought they said Snow Queen would also be part hand-drawn and part CGI?Sotiris wrote:To be specific, Steve Hulett said that Clements & Musker's film which was previously reported (by him) to had been fully hand-drawn, now will only include "hand-drawn elements". Ha, I wish I saw that SNL sketch then.TsWade2 wrote:Note: I love Annie the musical and I love the song. I'm just trying to make fun of it. That's all.

I will say this: What Wizart is doing will NOT stop Disney from doing their version of, "The Snow Queen (Frozen)." For example, DreamWorks Animation created their version of, "Puss in Boots," after one company from a foreign nation created their version of, "Puss in Boots." I do not know which country, but each of their versions tell a different story. Let us hope that Disney's version is different compared to Wizart's, but I guarantee that Disney's version will be more enchanting than Wizart's.
Oops, I've opend this topic and I thought that it was Disney's pics... Especially the snow ones.... But then I saw information about Wizart Animation. What's this???????!? They are also making the story about the Snow Queen?

Let's just hope Disney's version of the Snow Queen is better than this. Even though it's called Frozen.Tolteque wrote:Polizzi wrote:A thousand apologies for presenting this to you, but these are images from, "Snow Queen," from Wizart and INLAY besides Disney...or is it.

Let's also hope that one day forum users will realize they don't have to repost all of the images when they quote someone so people don't have to scroll through the same thing over and over again when reading threads.TsWade2 wrote: Let's just hope Disney's version of the Snow Queen is better than this. I think the stills are pretty good. They look dated and the character designs aren't the most original, but the scenery is very nice. Especially those ice columns. It's quite good for its probably small budget (compared to Disney or Pixar).
EDIT: Oh, I forgot to tell you that I LOVE your siggie, DancingCrab! Beautiful!

lol I'm happy about that.PatrickvD wrote:For the first time ever I agree with you 300%.
Only the ice columns don't hurt my eyes. Maybe that cauldron thing with a deer on it. That's it. The character designs are not just not original, they're terrible. If you think differently, I'm sorry... But come on!Linden wrote:I think the stills are pretty good. They look dated and the character designs aren't the most original, but the scenery is very nice. Well, you always were very particular about character design. I personally don't mind how characters look, as long as they're well-animated and have strong personalities. The animation is behind the times and the characters look like just about any other characters, but they don't hurt my eyes. Here's a smilie to show I'm not trying to argue.Disney Duster wrote:Only the ice columns don't hurt my eyes. Maybe that cauldron thing with a deer on it. That's it. I would have thought they would have named her Ice Queen which I think is cooler.Or even better the Frozen Queen to keep some part of the orignal title in there.
I have this theory that any project that has been shelved on and off again will get a name change in order to change the mind of the head of the company in order for it to still get greenlit.Heck,if you remember Tangled was in many different developments over the years and with many different premises and directions.

The "Frozen Queen" changes the meaning though.jazzflower92 wrote:I would have thought they would have named her Ice Queen which I think is cooler.Or even better the Frozen Queen to keep some part of the orignal title in there.![]()

And the problem in the first place was the word "queen", so...

Exclusive! I've found more never-before-seen artwork for a previous incarnation of Disney's The Snow Queen (prior to 2003).
