I know, they sound great, and is rare that they actually bother to keep the accents of the place the story is set on.

They still need to sell the movie, the Dreamworks style humor is still the biggest seller in the market.
I thought some of the animation did not look the best, Like the crowds at 0.47 and The stupid women who runs into the post after seeing those bears.
Merida's accent still hasn't grown on me, Tiana and Rapunzel were beautiful voiced and you could here the warmth in their voices and Merida just sounds O.K ...
Possible Spoiler I'm guessing those 3 bears are Merida's brothers, Right?

I really like Merida! She's really spunky, down-to earth & independent, and more-teenager like, plus more realistic than the other princesses. And she's actually pretty too.
Plus, I just remembered I'm part Scottish, so it's really cool I have a Scottish Disney princess. I also love her family. Her brothers and dad are so cute. And I love her mom's pompous attitude when she scolds Merida for doing archery.
So yeah, can't wait for 2012.
BTW: Yeah, her brothers are defientely those bear cubs. So, the curse affects the whole family then.

I laughed out loud at that part. That's genuinely funny, in my opinion.
Regarding the How To Train Your Dragon comparisons, just because a movie is set in a mystical landscape where everyone is Scottish and there's some monster that everyone's after does mean it is a rip-off. Everyone has their own opinion but to me that would be like saying that The Secret of Kells is a rip-off of Darby O' Gill and the Little People just because it's set in Ireland and has magic.
I recognised just about every voice in the trailer, but then again, I've grown up watching most of them in TV and films for the last 20 years heh. Nice to see Pixar actually casting what appears to be ONLY British voice talent for a film set in Scotland. Yes, I'll excuse them having Emma and Julie, but they are pretty much stonewall institutions here despite not being Scottish heh.
Kelly... Kelly I first saw in Trainspotting all those years ago, and thought she'd do well. She's taken her time, but with some recent Hollywood hits under her belt, she's starting to finally come through. Actually her performance in the trailer reminds me a bit of her Diane character from Trainspotting heh... feisty, confident, and yet put upon at the same time. And after all that time, she's back on a project with Kevin McKidd, who was also in Trainspotting.
I don't know, I loved how the world looks. And most of the background design looks gorgeous, character designs while good, leave a little more to be desired. However, the whole trailer gave me mixed feeling about the movie. It looks like it doesn't know if it wants to be serious or laugh out loud funny. I guess I was just expecting a more serious animated movie. I can stand it if it's funny, but the humor portrayed was a bit juvenile. I guess I was expecting a level of sophistication in this movie, but whatever only time will tell.
Not a fan of the type of humor displayed here myself. Though I did read form a comment on Cartoon Brew that "nearly all these scenes take place in the first 12 minutes, before the adventure really begins. So we still don’t know what we’re getting."
It feels like a Dreamworks movie. All I can say is that I don't feel as excited like when I saw Repunzel oops I mean Tangled. Hopefully I change my mine when the movie comes closer to it's premiere. This is a Pixar movie right? cause it feels like it came from Disney Animation.

I totally agree, I just doesn't feel like a Pixar movie or even a Disney Movie. I did have high hopes for this movie, but will have to wait to see what it actually turns out like

Really? Where's your source, if you don't mind that I'm asking?

It's one this thread somewhere. Some saw a work in progress version of the film and I think they confirmed it.

He's talking about this comment on Cartoon Brew:
I agree with most that the trailer is disappointing – it’s not advertising the film I wanted to see. But it should be clear to anyone even remotely film literate, that nearly all these scenes take place in the first 12 minutes, before the adventure really begins. So we still don’t know what we’re getting[...]
Somehow I missed the first part of that quote, or else I would have included it. I kinda thought he had seen a work in progress version himself or something. But I agree with him it's a fair assumption. I'm a bit skeptic of this movie, but Im not too concerned about the tone, I'm used to trailers shoving all the gags they can into one trailer and completely misrepresenting the movie. We don't have context so I wouldn't worry unless we get 3 trailer of even more gags like this.

Are we talking old Dreamworks or new Dreamworks? Because I think new Dreamworks is nearing better than Pixar in a lot of ways. If anything Disney Animation is getting too much into Pixar territory. Not a bad thing quality wise but it leads to a lack of uniqueness and originality.
I wasn't a fan of the trailer but the film itself is highly anticipated by me.
Wow, the borderline epic teaser had me excited with the thought of a darker more serious tale set in a mythical landscape. This trailer is like the complete opposite of that. Ugh...

There is no such thing. DreamWorks has always been hit or miss, still is.
