1940s: The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad. Come now, it shows you the world! Travel! Change! Excitement!
1950s: Sleeping Beauty. You poor simple fools, thinking I'd pick something else. Something Else! Over the mistress of all Disney animated films!
1960s: The Happiest Millionaire (but this is the best decade ever, especially the years of 1961, 1967 and 1960). There are those who don't consider this a very good Disney film. And there are those who wear bibs when they eat, but generally speaking they are not people of interest.
1970s: Bedknobs and Broomsticks. Anything and everything a chap can unload can be found in this piece of Subsitutiary history.
1980s: The Great Mouse Detective. The worlds' greatest criminal caper tale!
1990s: Hocus Pocus (hellz ya!, with Newsies and Rocketeer next). If you don't believe I chose this you better get superstitious. Ask my sisters, it's wicked!
2000s: Hard choice, might say Enchanted. (ENG, TP, L/S, Pirates 1 all good). I don't know what melodramatic means either, but I love this film!

It's interesting to see the evolution of Disney Animated Classics through everyone's lists ! Here are mine :

I agree with you, the 50's and the 90's was the hardest decades to pick from, simply because they were the best decades in my opinion when it comes to animated Disney classics. I also thought that the 60's and 70's was a little difficult, because I really don't care so much about the Disney-movies from those decades. I don't care that much for the 40's or the 80's either, but bout of those decades got one (The Little Meramaid) or two (Bambi and Pinocchio) movie(s) who stood out above the rest. In my opinion that is;)atlanticaunderthesea wrote:It's interesting to see the evolution of Disney Animated Classics through everyone's lists ! Here are mine :

Favorite Disney movie of the decade?
Has there ever been a thread in which we say what our favorite Disney movies from each decade, starting with the '40s, are? If not, then I was thinking that it would be a good idea for a new thread.

Your Favorite Disney Film from Each Decade
Rank and Rate Disney Classics by Decade
what is your favorite DAC of the 2000 decade?
Anyways, here's my decade list, which is different from what I wrote in the first thread:
1940s: Dumbo (1941)
1950s: Peter Pan (1953)
1960s: Swiss Family Robinson (1961)
1970s: The Black Hole (1979)
1980s: The Black Cauldron (1985)
1990s: tie between Beauty and the Beast (1991), The Rocketeer (1991), Aladdin (1992) & Newsies (1992) (I simply cannot pick an overall favorite from these four)
2000s: Tuck Everlasting (2002)
2010s: Tangled (2010)

Thank you, Escapay. I did a search to see if there were any existing threads like this, but I'll be honest, I didn't search through all the pages because I tend to be a little lazy.
I guess I'll make my list in this thread.
1940s: Pinocchio. I found Bambi to be a little boring, and Dumbo was a little too cartoonish for me. I haven't seen any of the other movies.
1950s: Tie between Sleeping Beauty and Alice in Wonderland.
1960s: One Hundred and One Dalmatians
1970s: The Rescuers
1980s: The Little Mermaid
1990s: Beauty and the Beast
2000s: Lilo and Stitch

No worries. You can make your list here, since this thread will likely get merged with an older one by a mod, and thus will get bumped up anyway.
