The Simpsons - greatest show EVER, IMO.
Well, DUH!

Glad it is being released in season DVD sets.

All Right!

Bewitched-You have to love the nose twitch thing. Tabitha is the cutest!

Full House-just what I'm looking for: a comedy with a lesson or moral thingy in (almost) every episode. Besides, there's a great cast

I'll just skip the cartoons since it'll be easier that way.

1. Taxi-Probably has the best cast in any sitcom! You just can't beat a show that has Christopher Lloyd or Danny DeVito. It also had the best writing for a sitcom ever! Too bad it only lasted 3 seasons! :(

2. The Cosby Show- Bill Cosby is one of the funniest person on earth. I love all the great heart that went in the stories, yet they were hilarious! It was just pure clean fun! This show should come on DVD soon.

3. Cheers- A copycat of Taxi. While the cast and scripts aren't as good as Taxi the shows were still always funny. And it of coarse had great characters and a great cast! I loved George Wendt and Kelsey Grammer!

4. Home Improvement- Another great show! Tim Allen makes me laugh out loud alot! I also think the parts with Wilson Wilson in it were great! I think the writers of that should be appreciated!

5. Everybody Loves Raymond- I really like the writing in this show. I t was often clever. I also love the cast! Brad Garret, Peter Boyle, Doris Robberts and Ray Romano. What's better then that?

6. Seinfeld- You have to love the show about nothing! Especially Kramer! :D

7. Fraiser- Yeah! More Kelsey Grammer!

8. Two and a Half Men- Great show! I really think it's funny!

9. The Andy Griffin Show- A bit old, but I still love it! Go Don Knotts!

10. The Munsters- A classic show! I like Herman Munster! :D

Animated and Live Action:

Family Guy: It's got everything that could possibly be funny, c;mon.

The Simpsons: Been going for 15 years and even though it's gotten slightly old, it's still funny.

Boy Meets World: The best in my opinion. One of the funniest live-action sitcoms ever made and lessons that really touch you.

Futurama: It's not as funny as The Simpsons or Family Guy, but still hilarious and a pleasure to watch.

King of the Hill: Can't think of anything to really say here, but it's a great show.

Scrubs: One of my favorites, the jokes are fresh and funny, and the lessons are relatable and heartfelt. I love how J.D.'s inner monologue tells us the lesson with all the characters showing what they've learned throughout the episode by doing it in a touching way.

That 70's Show: It has gotten a little stale, but I love the characters and I'm a teenager, so I find all the problems they have and the things they say really funny.

Malcolm in the Middle: Show that never seems to get old or stale. Every time I watch, I see a fresh, funny joke that I heven't seen anywhere else before.

There's probably more that I like, but I can't think of any right now.

My favorite sitcoms:

1. I Love Lucy - I specifically remember my very first I Love Lucy episode, back in the summer of 1995, when we were at WDW for vacation and Mom and Dad went to some club, while Jane, Kram, and I were in the hotel room watching an I Love Lucy marathon on Nick@Nite (back when it was good). The episode was just the tail end of the one where Lucy and Ethel are wallpapering the bedroom, but I loved it. The episode after it was the classic Vitameatavegamin, which will always be my favorite. I think the show lost a little steam in the fifth season, though, when some of the antics became tiresome and Little Ricky started talking. I did like when they went to Connecticut. It was different for them, and brought the very classic "Lucy Does The Tango", where she is dancing with Ricky...whilst having probably three or four dozen eggs in her blouse.

2. The Golden Girls - As a littl'un, my older cousin Gabe would tease me saying stuff like "You love Sophia!" or something silly, but I didn't really pay attention to it. I don't think I started watching Golden Girls regularly until 1997 or so, when it started on Lifetime. It was always a favorite of mine before 1997, but I didn't really get a chance to see all the episodes until the Lifetime run. Dorothy is probably my favorite character, and I'm most likely the "Rose" in the family. Kram and I sometimes just burst out into "Miami is Nice", for no reason, the dialogue included

Dorothy: Let's take it from the top.
Rose: From the top, it sounds so professional.
Dorothy: Tickle the ivories, Rose.
Rose: Cootchie-cootchie-coo!
Dorothy: Rose, PLAY OR DIE!
(Rose starts playing the piano)
Dorothy (singing): Miami is nice, so I'll say it twice. Miami is nice, Miami is nice. Miami is - (stops singing) - Wait a minute, Rose, you put in an extra "Miami is Nice".
Rose: I had to, it hurts the music if you don't put it in.
Dorothy: Yeah, but the lyrics don't make any sense. It goes, "Miami is Nice, so I'll say it TWICE".
Rose: Oh, I see your point. Well how about this? "Miami is nice, so I'll say it THRICE?"
Dorothy: Who the hell says thrice?
Rose: It's a word.
Dorothy: So is interuterine. It does not belong in a song.
Rose (singing): Miami, you're cuter than...an interuterine.

3. Coupling - I have to admit, it wasn't until the buzz about the American one that I started watching this on our PBS affiliate. At first I found it to be tasteless, but realized just how fricking funny it was! "Jane and the Truth Snake" from Season 2 is probably my favorite episode. I hated how they had to get rid of Jeff, maybe they'll bring him back if they do a Season 5. Oliver's okay, he brought another side to Jane, who is my favorite character.

4. Friends - Who doesn't love friends? Really.

5. The Facts of Life - Stupid Nick@Nite only ran this for like five months then moved it to 2 am, then completely off the schedule, but it was enough for me to become a devoted fan.

6. The Nanny - I think I'm just a big fan of sitcoms on Lifetime, because this, along with Ellen and Designing Women are some of my favorite sitcoms.

7. Still Standing - an underrated gem on CBS.

8. My Hero - you either got to love this one or hate it. But talking babies are always funny! Damn, they need to put this on DVD.

The Simpsons- In my opinion its one of the graetest shows on television... who can not like this show its hialrious... I will addmit shows been kindof bad since the tony Hawk episode but Its still godd and plus the older episodes are on DVD

Growing Pains- I really miss this show.... I thought it was really good and o of the few 80 shows I liked.. the TV movies arent that great but all in all the show is good. It used to be On Disney Channel (thats how I watched it) but agin it its not there... ABC family used to show it but not anymore.. miss this show

Even Stevens- My favorite Disney Channel show... it really showed what teens life was like w/ friendship, family and school. Shai LaBeouf and Christy Carlson Romano Were Great. If any fans miss the show they show it on thursdays from 2 to 4!! :D but i want a DVD release.

Thats So Raven-Dont kno if its a sitcom but I like the show.. its not as good a even Stevens but its pretty close IMO. Raven is hilarious and I hope disney continues w/ the show.

Everybody Loves Raymond-Its one of my favoirite shows right now on TV. Ray and Patrica Heaton are Hilarious.. Brad Garret, And Peter Boyle steal th show... And Marire is probblay one of the most memorable TV mothers.. this show had hilarious moments.

Friends- I like this show... Jennifer Aniston and David Schimmer were graet working together. I wish the show made new episodes.

Full House- Who Cant Resist Michelle Tanner  :D

Here's my list in order:

1. Seinfeld- Simply one of the greatest and wittiest shows ever. I truly get the humor and I love all the characters in different ways.

2. Cheers- All the different characters and how different they all are is fantastic. Some of the best moments are when they all work together because it seems so different. And it's the first time a central actors were replaced (Shelly Long for Kirstey Allie, and Nicholas Calosanto for Woody Harrelson) and the new ones worked! This is often the downfall of many shows. It's just a tribute to great writing and acting.

3. The Simpsons- A great show that didn't rely solely on current jokes to make it funny. That's why it's funny after all this time.

4. Even Stevens- I too, didn't really appreciate it until it was over, but I really like the humor. I also like watching reruns on DC. I'm praying for a DVD release. Let's hope the movie sells fantabulously so we can get it!

5. Everybody Loves Raymond- I guess it's because I can really relate to this show. My grandma is exactly like Marie.

6. The Cosby Show- I just watched an episode of this last night and Bill has incredible comedic timing wich he passed on to Raven. Which leads me to...

7. That's so Raven- Whatever you all may say, I enjoy this show. Period.

 Least Favorite TV show Sitcom:angry:

-1000000. Full House- It's annoying, cheesy, unfunny, unrealistic, overly-cutesy, and way to sugar-coated. And those are it's good qualities.

I forgot another great t.v. show, Two and a Half Men! I think Charlie Sheen is hilarious!

If I were to rank the animated series in order thise would be my list:

1. The Simpsons
2. Family Guy
3. Futurama
4. American Dad
5. King of the Hill
6. South Park

The first 2 are great! If I included them in my top ten list they would be in my list somewhere at the top, but it's just easier if I left them out and put them on a new list! Futurama is okay, but the last three are lame!

Besides all of the animated comedies like King of the Hill, Simpsons, Family Guy and South Park... Seinfeld is the best sitcom ever. It's a show about nothing. I love the Soup Nazi, The Contest and Terry Hatcher(they're real and they're spectacular) episodes. Priceless... who wouldn't like that show?

Glad you enjoyed it, Aaron. It's on the first disc of Season 2 I think. The one where Big Daddy remarries someone Blanche's age.

Sorry to bump up this up, but I missed posting in this when it was recently bumped, and I'd like to post some of my favourites. I'm not a religious fanatic of television as many here, yet there are things that I really enjoy. Such as...

The Simpsons
I'm not sure if this will class as a sitcom, being a cartoon and all, yet I think that I have to say that this is my all time favourite TV show. I like the cynical attitude of it, especially the episodes where the Simpsons visit other countries. I am not a huge fan of it as I used to be (five or six years ago the only videos that I ever bought/rented were Simpsons videos), yet I still enjoy it thoroughly whenever it is on. And I still need to get those season box sets.

Friends
I actually only started to get into this really when the last series came on (I used to find it rather overrated), and I'm finding it more and more entertaining on each re-run I see, even if everything isn't completely hilarious.

Little Britain
This is more a sketch show than a sitcom, yet repeated characters appear. I believe that it's got a cult following in America, but in Britain, it's even bigger (the DVD was a sell out and I'm probably the only person here that doesn't have it yet :p), and it's no wonder, as this is a surreal laughter maker.

Goodness Gracious Me
Like Little Britain, this is a sketch show parodicising aspects of Britain, only this focusses on the aspect of Asian culture in Britain (I should point out as well that this was made by Asian writers/comedians). It worked, as the comedy was broad enough to break out to a wider audience, such as inverting aspects of Anglo Asian culture (Indian students finding their soul on a back packing gap year to England, for example). I have the video set of the first series (which I bought a few weeks before discovering we were going to get a DVD player ) and I remember watching it in one go a while ago. Great stuff.

Various Warner Brothers and Disney cartoon series from the late 1980s and early 1990s
I have fond memories of watching Disney things like The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Chip and Dale: Rescue Rangers and Duck Tales to Warner's Tazmania, Tiny Toon Adventures and Animaniacs. Though with some of those things I haven't seen them in years, I think that they'll hold up for sentimental value.

I also enjoy a few other things like Will and Grace and Keeping Up Appearances, though I think that I don't watch/know them enough to put them in my favourites list.
