I'm not a big fan of I & II but I was invited to go w/some ppl to see the midnight showing and I really do want to see how Anikin (sp?) becomes Darth Vadar! I also want to see if we see the births of Luke & Leah (sp?). It will be fun though! I'm told a lot of ppl will be there in costumes and the premiers ususally give away toys or something...

You know to be perfectly honest (& dont hate me!) I have never even seen any star wars movie. Well I think I may have when i was really really really young cuz I remember having some toys from the movie....but havent seen any in recent years where I actually remember any plot. Not a big spacey sci-fi fan-same goes for star trek movies-have never seen one.

However, i do enjoy the 80s comedy Space Balls.

But someday soon I will have to sit down & watch them all. Wondering if I should watch them as they came out, or watch them in order of the chapter movies & save the "final chapter" for last even if it may be a movie that was made in the 70s or 80s. Prob wont do this till they are all on dvd though.

The girl who invited me is only going bc her fiance is a fanatic (literally), he owns everything Star Wars, costumes and all!

She has never liked Star Wars, I mentioned once that I loved the originals, but would be interesting to see how III played in. And she said, well I could use some female company, bc he's gonna ignore me, lol, and since you actually like Star Wars, would you like to come!

So, what I'm saying is, there are a lot of ppl who have never seen any Star Wars!

I'd love to see it Opening Night, but unfortunately I doubt I'll be able to accomplish that.

Unlike most people, I really like both of the previous prequels (not more than the originals of course). I actually like The Phantom Menace more than Attack of the Clones. TPM seems to mirror the original three Star Wars movies better than AotC, IMHO. Maybe that's in part cuz I think Hayden Christenson is a whiney see-you-Next-Tuesday. Though, the Yoda-Dooku battle was definitely near the top of my Favorite Star Wars Moments list.
Slightly used and mostly confused.

Maybe I should see the movie so that I know why Anakin turns to the Dark Side.

The light saber fights in Episode I look cool. I hope Episode III will have some nice action scenes.

So Anikin turns into Darth Vader / James Earl Jones? Creepy. I heard that his mechanical suit is an iron lung that helps Anakin breathe.

Thanks for sharing without spoiling the movie for me. I might rent the DVD to watch the action scenes. :) I think Anakin fights Obi and Episode IV on the Death Star. Or was that in Episode V? I forgot. Sorry.

What night? lol I wonder how crowded the movie theaters (theatres?) will be this weekend. I imagine that the cinemas will be filled with people wearing costumes on Friday and Saturday night.
