I need some good opinions/advice :D

I plan to buy Gargoyles Season 1 but I haven't seen it in ages and don't know if i'll like it or not. I would rent it but it isn't available to rent so my only choice is to buy it and when it comes to blind buys I usually have the worst of luck... so I was wondering if this is any good and if it is worth buying.

Thanks :thumb:

I'd give Gargoyles my highest recommendation....I really, really LOVE the series....It's got great animation and characters(I like Goliath,Elisa and Xanatos most),plus an awesome storyline(starts off in Scotland in 994 A.D,but most of the action takes place in present day New York)...I forget what the extras are,but the set includes the first 13 episodes(including "Deadly Force",which usually isn't shown on TV nowadays;probably because guns are part of the plot, and a certain someone gets shot)

I enjoyed Gargoyles Season 1 a lot. I'm probably a little biased though, since it is currently my favorite cartoon series. If you use to watch it, Dan05, I'm sure you would enjoy it as well. Definatly worth the buy.

Do it! Blind buy it! 8)
I remember watching this long time ago..and it was interesting!
I think this animation is good and worth getting, and that's a WOW thing for me to say especially since I'm not that much of a Gargoyles fan.

(Now it doesn't mean I have it, I'm waiting for a cheap price!)

But this review will probably influence your thoughts about buying it ;):

Looks like i'll be picking up a copy this weekend. Afterall it is quite cheap compared to all the other seasons.

Hopefully it'll be as good as I think it is :)

Thanks for the help Luna, cj, and RJKD23 :D

Fun And Fancy Free

The Three Caballeros

state the ones you haven't seen and maybe we can help you out too :)
Watch Lady and the Tramp and Pinocchio immediately. You can probably skip The Three Caballeros, Fun and Fancy Free and The Hunchback of Notre Dame. After a while, though, watch The Jungle Book.

Stay away from any sequels.

What does everyone think of The Love Bug? I saw the trailer for Herbie Fully Loaded today and I really want to see it. However, I need to get a taste of the Herbie series and I thought that this would be a good place to start. Is this movie good, bad or okay?

I love the Herbie series, which I hope to buy.. eventually, but I'm not going to see the new one, I hate it when they make new movies of classics, even though it's not a "remake" persay.

That's what Hollywood seems to be doing, though. Bewitched, The Dukes of Hazzard and War of the Worlds are all expected in theaters this summer.

Bewitched looks cute, bc the storyline is this:

A director is looking for the perfect person to play Samantha in a remake of the tv show, and he finds her, what he doesn't know is she really IS a witch.

Totally diff. twist and I think it sounds cute.

The only Love Bug movie that I've seen is the '90's remake, and I thought that, that one was pretty good. As for the older movies, the first two or so should be good, but the last two, I think, would be very unimaginative. The Lindsay Lohan installment, from what I've seen should be good and I would encourage you to check it out. If I were you, I would also, as further resesearch, read the Ultimate Disney reviews on the first four Love Bug movies - http://www.ultimatedisney.com/reviewindex.htm
And for anyone in a country that celebrates Mother's Day -
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY :)

so to sum up all your comments, what should be the MUST HAVES among these dvds:

Saludos Amigos
Fun And Fancy Free
Melody Time
The Three Caballeros
Make Mine Music
Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad
Robin Hood
The Black Cauldron
Great Mouse Detective
Oliver & Company
The Fox and the Hound
The Rescuers
The Rescuers Down Under
Hercules

I am planning to buy some dvds this weekend. most of these dvds can be found at Wal-Mart. if there's any chance that there will be a 2-disc coming up then i'd rather wait. sorry guys, i'm not fond of reading reviews. i need comments from the disney fanatics here. :P
