two D U N E miniseries editions and 2099net mentioned his admiration for Lynchian art.
Escapay, I'd recommend the 3 disc Special edition cus not only it's 16:9 coded while the old one is just letterboxed it has a few more goodies, and apart that it is longer thant the old edition (and a novel like D U N E needs that) (Just see what happened to David Lynch's D U N E when it lost half of its length!
) it's also UNCUT. I don't remember what's different about the extras (I had the older 2 disc version first but a witch hid it where it can never be found, so i got the better 3 disc version now 
) but it's more. Also (new to this remastered post! 
) I think the movie is spread over more disc space so it might have slighly better quality (Apart from the 16:9 extra resolution)Dune is kind of a Sci Fi soap so you might enjoy those aspects of it (the book is better still!)
So the story continues on Children of D U N E . I actually liked that better, maybe because Alia acts just like the witch!
