How did YOU find UD?
Basically, this thread is dedicated to tell how you came upon this lovely site known as UD!
I first came upon it when I started buying Disney DVD's around November/December of 2005. I literally typed "ultimate disney dvd" in the google search and it was the first result. I used to skip around in the forums and 2 months later was when I actually registered...
How about you?!

"Hip hop frightens you, doesn't it....Hmmm...Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate. Hate leads to endlessly posting threads about stupid white people. Hmmmmm....."
I love Siren!

I knew Luke from another forum, and we talked a bit on AIM. He showed me this website, and though I was impressed by it, I only posted in its forum maybe twice. We had a chatroom via AIM for all of the regular posters of the old board (there were only about 10 or so), and I joined in. That was when Luke revealed to us the nifty new board he had created, and he had us test it out to see if it worked. While there were some bugs because of the program (I think we all ended up registering twice), that was the beginning of the forum as we know it today, and that's when I became a regular member.

It would've been in about February this year when I first got into Disney DVD's, I wanted to know why so many of their classics were unavaliable (I didn't know about OOP back then) and so I typed in Disney Fan Club into Google.
http://disneyecho.emuck.com/ came up, and I registered there. I said that I was going to America in December and was wondering if I'd be able to find these DVD's. One of the first replys said, you should go to 'UltimateDisney.com' it's the greatest of all Disney Websites. So I came here and for a couple of months just browsed.
(Basically everyday I'd read the classics count down, I was so annoyed when The Little Mermaid came up in 2nd Place)
Then one day I noticed on the front page this button that said forum, so for a few months I read everyone's comments and all the information being posted, and finally I decided to join.
So I've been here for almost a year, I just never really joined.
Random Fact: When I first joined I thought TheSequelofDisney was the administrator, he had a cool name and avatar.
Favorite UltimateDisney Moment: When lighthousemike posted all The Little Mermaid DVD information, I was soooo excited! I even had my MSN name as 'I'M SOOO HAPPY!
'. Plus I was the first to reply, I couldn't believe he had it!

I was searching on google for a list of all the Disney animated classics and some reviews and I landed on this swell site.

I was looking for a chronological list of all the Disney animated classics. This was a link on Google, and I clicked and thus began my UD adventure. I can't remember much, but I do remember feeling like an idiot when I freaked out about not being able to get an avatar at first...

That was way back in 2002. Posted on the old board a little bit then was too lazy for about six months to register for the new board.

I actually remember EXACTLY how I found UlitmateDisney.com. I had recently purchased a used copy of the Snow White PE but I was without a DVD player at the moment and I wanted to see if a website had a good listing/review of what was all on the disc and I googled "snow white review" or something and up popped UD and the rest is history.

Can't exactly remember.
But I think it may have been when I was browsing savedisney.com, and there was a link to Jim Hill's website. Went to JH's website when I heard about (then-news at the time) a new version of Alice in Wonderland coming out, and there was a link to UD. Clicked the link for UD, and the rest is history.

I remember browsing Disney movies on Rotten Tomatoes, and found a link to the Fun and Fancy Free review. I kept on visiting other animation sites, and always saw references to Ultimatedisney.com, so I kept coming back here, reading the reviews, peeking at the forum from time to time then signing up to it eventually.

I'm pretty sure that I was looking for something on google. I'm not exactly sure, but it was something. Then, UD came up and I clicked on it. I was watching the SnowWhite8 stuff for a loooooong time, and I also looked at the forums for awhile. Then, after a month or so, I decided to join.

Honestly can't remember.
I found the site quite a while ago - don't know if I was looking for information in general or for a particular DVD. I'd been visiting for a couple of years, but only registered for the forum a few months ago.
I actually find this forum to be a very friendly place on the whole.
I'd spent time on a few DVD forums, and a couple of Doctor Who forums in the past, and found them to be very bitchy, sarcastic places, but generally everyone seems to get along well here and are usually ready to help with information or advice.
I've seen the odd thread that's been on the verge of ending up in a tiff, but people usually seem to stop themselves from breaking into all out flaming that sometimes plagues other forums, and makes them unpleasant places to be in my view. Maybe it's the Disney influence.
