Wow thanks so much for the link :) .

Now regarding my vote I am not really sure I am defintley stuck between the 5th cover Cinderella and the glass slipper are the main object. The 4th one is kind of neat too reminds me of the VHS covers that there have been in the post. Although I think Cinderella's face looks funky. But thats just me.

At the moment I'm leaning towads the 5th cover, with a view to the 4th.

But in the end they are just covers. What remains to be seen is how Disney will treat a genuine "Classic" classic (the only one they've done so far is Snow White, and they did that very well. The treatment of the "modern classics" has been patchy at best).

It will all change though, I'm sure.

Like the Aladdin DVD, there is probably a 37% Slipper rule or something...

It's like Citizen Kane having a closeup of Rosebud on the cover.

How is possible that we almost know the cover for Cinderella and we haven't seen anything about the Bambi one? Bambi is supposed to be released before Cinderella, isn't it?
I'm not bad. I'm just drawn that way.

(If you haven't seen Urban Legends, stop reading )

Just like the killer of UL takes up the majority of the coverart (front and back).

I don't think Disney made any one of those Cinderella DVD case designs. Instead, I think someone took the pictures from bootleg DVD boxes of Cinderella and pasted them on a self-designed Platinum Box. What makes me say this? I remember seeing a picture of all the different bootleg boxes available for Cinderella on Ebay and these pictures look exactly like them, only pasted on a blue "platinum" box.

Except there's the fact that if someone did photoshop these using existing cllipart, how on earth did they get the mice and coach cliparts because I've never seen those before (heck, I don't even think I've seen one of Cindy holding the slipper like that, either).

I thought her name was Suzy or Perla or Mary. It's weird b/c in the movie its Suzy, but at the parks its Perla, and in the sequel its Mary. :? Oh well, maybe they're triplets!

Oh and Jens, thanks for posting them on your site! I don't know why, but I can't see the first three in this thread anymore. Also the decrease of brightness does better for the eyes! :) Also, a little off topic, but where did you get that picture of Mickey from Twice Upon a Christmas?

I was terrified that we'd all been tricked, but you do have a good point Disneykid. The only thing that still scares me is that they might've taken it from a Cinderella storybook or something.

Also, if they do continue the format for Platinum covers, for Bambi, would they include man on the corner of the cover?

I created it myself as I needed a poster image for the movie ;) Don't worry, the real one will be on there when it's available :) I just needed something colorfull on the movie page of Mickey's Twice upon a Christmas, otherwise it's so dull :P

I doubt it since we never seen man, and I don't think Disney would take up space on the cover devoting it to a shadow or silhouette of one. I think Bambi will go the route of Beauty and the Beast and (if they choose the last cover) Cinderella by having the sidekicks and an object on the bottom instead of the sidekicks and the villain (though I have no clue what non-character thing can be put there).

Wow I totaly never did think of that possablity that kind of scares me becasue most people do have a good point why is it that the Bambi cover isnt up and its relase is so much sooner. And the pictures do look farmilar a few like the ones I have seen on e-bay they do look chezze unless the Bambi cover art is out and floating about on the net? Does anyone know?

The Cinderella covers were taken from a Disney survey where the person that got these covers probably had the chance to choose his favorite out of them. The Bambi cover has not been found yet...

Well I'm glad most people here dislike the first one. Hopefully that will be true for those who received the survey as well.
