Please Disney, don't ditch Blu-ray before you release Saludos Amigos, The Three Caballeros, Make Mine Music, Melody Time and The Black Cauldron on the format. After those you can do whatever you want and shove streaming down our throats, but only after.
I don't even want bonus features! I just want the films with a good transfer in 1080p and lossless sound. That's it!

I can understand the desire to have these films presented in the best resolution/presentation available....but, I am disgusted at the lack of bonus features and incentives that have been forgotten about on the last few blu-ray releases. I was extremely excited about the Blu-Ray exclusives from DMC, for the live action classics.....but, they are a joke...from what I hear, the transfers are good, but, they are barebones...
I would hope for Black Cauldron as I kinda enjoyed that film. I don't want to be masquarading a DVD in a bluray case forever.
I think Disney should really give us a new remaster of SitS on bluray after that monstrosity we got. Personally, I won't buy it in its current incarnation.
Interesting that the next line is the ultra collection (if it's true) ? I wonder what this will mean? Maybe a theatrical trailer and full coloured disc artwork.
If it is really ULTRA, I would like to expect that disney would include all bonus features ever made and some new, different cuts of films (if they exist a la BatB, LK, Pocahontas), OARs and maybe some non OARs and pretty amazing packaging maybe with a book. That would seem pretty ultra to me. Not something that it is even more pitiful than the current blurays.
I am kidding myself, I know. I hope they don't use Ultra unless they plan to actually deliver Ultra.
Settling Soul mates? That is grim. And I've played Monopoly alone.
I don't mean to trick people into thinking there's news by posting in this thread, but, as Matt tersely put it ... "Nothing yet?"
Should Disney decide to not bother releasing the remaining Walt Disney Animation Studios films on blu-ray, what other options will they provide for me to be able to watch the movies in some form of HD on my TV and speaker system? I do not watch movies, especially my favourite movies, on smartphones, tablets and computers. I invested in my expensive TV and speakers specifically to watch movies on them. It was quite a sacrifice - my bank account still refuses to talk to me ... I think I should deposit into it a few Milka chocolate bars to placate it.
I am one of those that doesn't understand watching a film on a tiny screen. You miss so much - especially with animation where you know how much work went into it.
I hope Disney realise the importance of giving us what is left on bluray.

You can watch digital copies in HD with an Apple TV or Roku box, even most blu-ray players and TVs now have built in smart systems to streamline through apps like Vudu and Amazon. So you can experience the films on your big TV too.
My only issue, as it is with many others, is the lack of security in not having a physical copy as well.

This is a collection of the recent WDAS shorts including Frozen Fever, Tangled Ever After, Paperman, Feast, etc. They probably realized they can cash in on Frozen Fever instead of throwing it on another Blu-ray release as a bonus feature.
Looking forward to it! So the cover confirms Frozen Fever, Tangled Ever After, Lorenzo (totally didn't recognize this one until someone pointed it out, but I am psyched to now know this one is included!), Paperman, and Feast.
I'd say the line-up would possibly look like this:
John Henry
Destino
Lorenzo
One By One
The Little Match Girl
How to Hook Up Your Home Theater
Glago's Guest
Tick Tock Tale
The Ballad of Nessie
Tangled Ever After
Paperman
Get a Horse!
Feast
Frozen Fever
That would basically cover everything from this century, and would be about on par with the Pixar collections in terms of number of shorts. I don't see them going all the way back to Runaway Brain, though that would be nice.
