I agree. I do wish they'd got someone slightly better for the Madalena part, but she's alright. The mirror scene was fun.

I'm quite enjoying this, it's a good show. Also funny that they got Weird Al Yankovic in there too and of course singing.
No signature needed - Kyoto Animation put out some beautiful animation
Re: Galavant (ABC TV Series to feature music by Alan Menken)
Can we at least get someone to write an ending for once and not worry about milking the show for season after season after season. They need to fire idiots that keep doing cliffhangers and just end the freaking story.

Yeah, they are really taking a risk here with these cliffhangers. I thought it was a mini-series?

Re: Galavant (ABC TV Series to feature music by Alan Menken)
I really hope this re-runs!
Why in the world did I have to miss the last episode(s)?
I'm guessing it didn't really "end." I hope it does get a second season. It's not a great show or anything, but for me it's something to watch while OUAT is off the air.

You can't watch online?
HORRIBLE finale. They seriously thought they should do a cliffhanger for this?! It's most likely not getting a season 2 on ABC. I liked the song about poisoning the rich people though.
The lyrics mentioned Nielsen ratings and possibility of cancellation so they knew what they were dealing with, but maybe it will be winter/summer filler again for a second season. The ratings plummeted after episode 1 though, and actually I don't even care about the plot, just the songs and silliness.
They are releasing a soundtrack on February 17, but it's more of a highlights compilation instead of including every song

Track Listings
1. Galavant
2. She'll Be Mine
3. Maybe You're Not the Worst Thing Ever
4. Oy! What a Knight (Faith Prince)
5. Jackass in a Can
6. Togetherness
7. Comedy Gold
8. Lords of the Sea (Hugh Bonneville)
9. No One But You
10. Hey, Hey, We re the Monks (Weird Al Yankovic)
11. If I Could Share My Life With You
12. A Day in Richard s Life (Ricky Gervais)
13. Love Is Strange
14. Goodnight My Friend

Sucks that the album isn't complete. *sigh* I'll have to turn to other things. I can't tell, but do they have the song when the characters were traveling in episode 2 (first night's airing)?
Somehow I think this might still get a second go even though it didn't do well

Me too. If it doesn't get renewed, I'd at least like to have an ending.unprincess wrote:yeah was surprised about the ending, I thought this was gonna be a one and done thing.
Re: Galavant (ABC TV Series to feature music by Alan Menken)
Thoughts on the show now that I'm finally done with it.
It was... just ok... nothing great.
It's just too silly and too meta. While that's not bad at times, it's still pretty jarring when the characters are put through hell.
The story itself was interesting but muddled with a lot of unnecessary moments and B-plots.
The songs were not so good. I think I only liked 2 of the songs. I blame the lyrics for the most part.
The cast is good, but the characters are annoying, especially Galavant.
To be honest, this was a good series up until they get to Valencia. Then it just started to get dumb and pointless... Especially the dungeon episodes.. They were unlocked for crying out loud and every time a character would come in and out and they wouldn't even try to escape.
Also, I don't know why... But "This is my moment" had some terrible lip-syncing... Galavant has sung numerous times before, I just don't understand why it didn't sound right for that episode.
The ending however is the true culprit here. What a waste and a huge betrayal to the people who actually stuck till the last episode. As soon as they ended it, I questioned wether or not I will ever want to watch a second season, much less rewatch the first season.
So... There it is. An ok time passer...

I enjoyed this show, nice bit of fluff with funny performances and decent music. The ratings were bad for the most part, but ABC placed it against sports and award shows almost every week so they had to expect the results. I'd like to see it get a second season and more love from the network.

Looks like the soundtrack won't be seeing a physical release.

I assume this was based the release date being removed from Amazon? If so, there's good news: it has a new date of March 17.Disney's Divinity wrote:Looks like the soundtrack won't be seeing a physical release.![]()

Hey, for those who've seen the entire series, I wanted to know...no matter how perverted it sounds...
Did we ever get to see Glavant (or any male) in their underwear? There was a trailer where he saw Galavant lose his pants, but you couldn't really see what he had down there.

Somehow I had a feeling it would be, even though the ratings were pretty low. Personally, I enjoyed the show for what it was. I'm glad it'll be on another season.
