Marce82 wrote:Hey everyone,

I have a few comments... thought I would share.

1) Sicoe, thanks a ton... again. Im curious though, why do you like that poster of Anastasia at the bottom at the staircase so much?
2) Wow, that poster of Jungle Book is BEAUTIFUL!!! Where is Bagheera though!??!?! How come everyone loves Baloo but not Bagheera... I always liked him! And does anyone know what this poster was used for? Or when it was created?
3) The Lilo and Stitch poster... did anyone notice this isn't the final version?!?!?!? Look at the characters, they are all drawn slightly differently than what ended up being the release poster... this must be a preliminary version...

Thanks so much Sicoe!
Well

1. I like that poster, because she wears her most beautiful dress in the film. It's so simple, yet so elegant, don't you think?
2. I think the poster was used for the film's 1990 theatrical re-release. It hs that '90s style to it.
3. I noticed that too, especially for Belle, the Beast and Jasmine. They look different in the final version.

Here are the two posters of Anastasia I was talking about. Thank you, partofdisneyworld , for providing the link to the first version.

Both of them are stunning, but I like the pink one better. It would be perfect if it were blue, but it's okay like that as well.

The one on the right is so laughably off-topic it makes her look like Anastasia's ugly stepsister. Beyond hideous.... :headshake:

Ah... thanks Sicoe.

Yes, that Jungle book poster must be from the early 90s, when they still made nice posters :)
As far as the Anastasia poser you like to much... I'm sorry, but I disagree. The staircase has no relevance to the film... and Anastasia isnt the type of character to twirl around in a pretty dress... I find this poster more akin to the Anastasia-version of Disney Princess clipart. (and she is REALLY badly drawn, which you already commented on)

I much prefer the two theatrical posters. Specially the one where she is coming through that doorway, and the faint images from the film are above her head. Its very symbolic of the film, adult, and faithful to the characters.

But hey, we all have different preferences in poster art!

Yeah, the original poster is, was and will always be the best poter ever done for Anastasia. The one with her on the staircase is my favorite artwork from a home video release. I'm not really that fond of the original cover.

Oh, Sicoe... I agree with you 100%!!! The original cover looks TERRIBLE. Anastasia was a screengrab of a shot from the film...and they chose one where her eyes are completely uneven... she looks like shannen doherty!
Yes... for home video release, the staircase one (the one drawn better) is the best one so far.

What do you think about the Blu-Ray artwork?

THe Anastasia blu ray?
Hmmm... 2 good things about it: 1) Anastasia's face is more on model. 2) the dress she is wearing is based on a dress the real Anastasia wore.

Other than that...I don't like the lighting on it, all the "bejeweled" title seems kinda tacky (and so off the tone of the film!), and Dimitri looks like he had plastic surgery on his upper lip... plus, them holding hands in a sedate pose is so not in character...

Well, the American version is okay, I mean she is on model, but it looks like Dimitri doesn't have lips at all, and it makes him look very strange. Plus, the logo isn't the classic one used on every Anastasia-themed product. And that pose does not suit them at all.

The European Version is a little better, because she is on model, and the logo is the classic one, but they ussed the same Dimitri.  but I like the fact that they used scenes from St. Petersburg and Paris in the background.

Anyway, here are the two versions, judge for yourself:

I'm glad you liked it, if you have another request for clip art, let me know, I will try to do the best. ;)

By the way, can you download this two poster (yeah, Anastasia again):

For me, the first poster its the best poster that Anastasia film can have, its very representative, I hate how they transform her into a princess sappy with tons of glitter.

Hey everyone,

Wow... what is that weird tracing of the Peter Pan VHS cover??? Looks awful!!

And Sicoe... interesting about the European release of Anastasia. I had never seen that. I like that they included more elements from the film, but it turns into a "floating head" cover... and Im sorry, but she is not on-model...

AND WHAT IS THAT GREEN PENDANT THEY ARE NOW ATTACHING TO THE COVERS?!?!?!?!?

I think it's the music box. :? I'm not sure, since I haven't seen the movie in quite a while, and I don't know what it looks like.
