That's exactly what I thought. May be a subtitle.
Monsters Inc:
-The College Years
-Grrraduation
-Back Where it Came From

I really like that last one :D
Hahaha!^^ That was very clever of you rs_milo_whatever:) I like it!

i dont think that is boo. aside from the dark hair i dont see a resemblance. i think they would have made it more obvious, like given her pigtails or the same color shirt, like they did with sid.

I read that he is working on an original project, but like the other Pixar sequels, it's based on a story treatment by Docter.

I've heard that Monsters Inc 2's screenplay was influenced by the script of the abandoned Circle 7 version.

I doubt it. They said they didn't even look at the Circle 7 script of Toy Story 3, so not to influence theirs.

Plus, I remember reading that the Circle 7 Monsters Inc sequel was about Boo returning to the monster world as a teenager.

Circle 7 was the CGI studio Disney created back when their partnership with Pixar was on the rocks. They wanted to rape Pixar's movies up to that point with their sequel fetish. Luckily, the studio closed before it ever got off the ground.

Circle 7 was never meant to produce a single frame of animation. It was Eisner's way of forcing Pixar to bow down to him. He was trying to get to Lasseter & co using their creations and threatening to destroy them.

Sounds dramatic, but you can bet that's what was going on. I truly believe Circle 7 was noting more than that.

They weren't meant to, sure. but I don't think it was an empty threat either. Disney absolutely would have tried to milk Pixar's franchises if Pixar decided they were done taking crap from Eisner. And they did have sequels started in very rough form, that much we know. interviews of those employed there revealed that much. We have concept art from their version of toy story 3, and even a rumored script. which actually has more in common with pixar's than you think. leading some to think they lied about it.

Still, Eisner was calling John's bluff, and it might have worked too had they not forced Eisner out.

I really hope those rumors are false. They couldn't have come up with something better than them being rivals, before becoming friends? Two words: Toy Story.

to be fair, this wouldn't be the first Pixar buddy movie. They're all pretty similar.

That's also the main gripe I have against Pixar. The core plots for most of their movies are mostly predictable. However, they manage to fill their movies with so many heartwarming and funny and extraordinary moments, that you forgive them almost instantly.

Why For: The "Monsters, Inc." that might have been

Want a peek at Circle 7's unproduced "Monsters, Inc." sequel?

:o That Monsters Inc. 2 idea actually sounds pretty decent! I mean, sure, it's just a reversal of the first movie like The Little Mermaid had, but I think that's ok.

The other Monsters Inc. idea sounds meh; I'm glad they scrapped it.

Awwww you beat me to posting the trailer. :( haha JK! I REALLY hope this is the sequel (the trailer). The first movie in the end looks like we'll see Boo as a older kid or teenager. It WILL be so stupid if the sequel is that prequel rumor because I think all of us deserve to see an older Boo and the ending gave us a hint that we see Boo again.

The MI2 idea sounds decent enough. Only, they shouldnt have boo in it. That ruins something special about the end of the 1st one. But Mike and Sulley in the Human world would be hilarious!

The other idea has it's merits and issues too, but I'm glad they scrapped it.

The Circle 7 version sounds more interesting than a prequel.
