Mom just walked in the door with it. Yay! I'll probably watch it later. To answer your question Deco King, yes, it's the same trailer. I think it's gonna be the same trailer until it's release.

EDIT: We didn't get it at Best Buy because our family has had a REALLY bad experience with Best Buy involving a laptop, a warranty, and stupid employees. I would've really like that poster though (even though I have no space to put it up).

The transfer is absolutely *stunning* It's seriously like watching it for the first time. It's mind-blowing that something can look this good. It's so colorful and pristine.... the visuals are just amazing. I can't compliment the visuals enough... if anything is on the fence about Blu-Ray.... seeing what A Bug's Life looks like will instantly change your mind. HOLY WOW.

Today, I watched the opening sneak peeks before the menu, and I think it's really funny that the Monster's Inc. Blu-ray trailer announces it as "Now Available" and it made me think "Ah, Disney should've just pulled forward with that release." They also had a new Blu-ray promo that listed Snow White as a Platinum Edition which is now inaccurate as well. Haha.

Something I dont get is the monsters inc ad is different from the original one I saw. It used to end with a "false alarm people" which would acutally be more accurate now that its been delayed than it was when it first popped up.

Anyway, the movie looks great as expected, though Im kinda let down by the lack of new content. I wanted more HD content other than the naration of the original story roundtable. which by the way ididnt have much to do with the movie as much as it did Joe Ranft and other crazy stuff that happened to them, which dont get me wrong, I could listen to these guys tell stories all day, but they didnt stay on topic very much, other than a brief history of the origins of the concept for the story.

but again, Im not saying it wasnt entertaining. I was rolling when they showed the today show footage with the stanton heads popping up. haha

I think I would have liked a ciniexplore feature.

The roundtable was more reflecting on the film's release, rather, but it was pretty funny. I like that they re-did some of the features for HD(did I already say that?).

Hey guys,

Can someone confirm for the whether the blu-ray is region free or locked? Someone posted on blu-ray.com that it is region free but every other Disney animated blu-ray has been region A only so I'm not sure the person is correct. I trust someone on here can give me a proper answer :)

I wanna import it to Australia since we haven't got any release info for here as yet so I'd rather not waste my money if it's locked!

Thanks in advance!

When the first Platinum Edition of Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs came out there were several different trailers all voiced by Angela Lansbury , who was also the Host of the Making Of Snow White Featurette I wonder who's being the Host on the Snow White Making Of Documentary this time around?

Not every Blu-Ray was region locked. The catalog Pixar releases (Cars, The Pixar Story, and A Bug's Life) are region free. My copy is somewhere in the mail, but everywhere I read it was confirmed region free. So you can order it.

Well, Sleeping Beauty and Pinocchio are "back catalogue" but Disney region locked them. I think the only rule to remember is... there is no hard and fast rule.
Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database

Yes they are, but they're not PIXAR catalog titles, to which I was referring. Every Pixar catalog title has been region free. And since the Japanese import of Monsters, Inc. is also region free, I guess the other versions will be the same.

Has anybody downloaded the free ticket to see Up yet? I am so mad! I just downloaded it and it is only for a child's ticket. It didn't say that on the sticker or on the card itself with the code to download. What I really don't get is that HSM2 came with a downloadable ticket for HSM3 and that was for $8.50 off any ticket, not just a child's ticket.

I used the ticket for Up. When you go through the website the ticket is good for which name you put into it. I put in my name so the ticket was for me. My wife and daughter were the ones that had paid tickets.

But it says "Child's Ticket." I'm an adult.

Well I just had an epic fail at Best Buy trying to get this movie.

First, the main reason I decided to buy it was for the free "Up" ticket, as my boyfriend and I are going to see it tomorrow. Then, I realized (from this forum) that Best Buy had a promotion where they were giving away a free poster with it. I checked online, and it said my store had the poster still in stock! Yay. Also, it was $27.99 on the website.

I go to Best Buy, and the first thing I noticed was that it was $29.99. Then, there was no free ticket for "Up" mentioned anywhere on the outside. AND they were sold out of the posters.

I didn't get it. While I like "Bug's Life" it's not worth $30 to me without the extras. I'm sure in a few weeks I can get it on ebay for around $20 which is more off than the ticket would have given me.

I bought my copy from Best Buy as well. Mine was missing the Up sticker, but the flyer was still inside.

Ah, well. My bad. Looks like it's just a child ticket anyway. Let us know if you're able to get in with it. :)

If you read the thread the issue has already been discussed.

More than likely you will not have a hard time while trying to redeem your free "chid's" ticket to see the movie UP.
