It was the reason and that series ended like 5 years ago. Still no Sailor Moon stuff out even in Japan. The only old anime Toei is focusing on is Dragonball Z which is airing now as Dragonball Kai(with reduce episodes) and last year they did whole new Dragonball OVA.slave2moonlight wrote:Yeah, but I thought that was because they wanted to promote the live-action show, which is over and flopped, if I have read correctly. Seems like now they'd be willing to cash in on both in the Home Entertainment market.Super Aurora wrote: However I highly doubt it will be liscensed again as Toei is a prick and does not want to sell the anime at all anymore.
I don't think you would have to worry about that at all if they do get Sailor Moon rights. One Piece is a BIG example.slave2moonlight wrote: Frankly, I would rather they focus on dubbing Sailor Stars before starting from the beginning again and possibly never getting to Sailor Stars... AGAIN...
One Piece is WAY longer than Sailor Moon anime(still going on in Japan) and Funimation is starting at beginning working way up in order. But they are releasing them by bulks of episodes so it won't take forever. In less than two years we went from start of story all way up to end of East Blue Saga. I'll say that's quite impressive progress along with well made dub.
They could do same deal with Sailor Moon.
nice pic, Enigmawing although her eyes look a lot like Tiana's
