Yeah, but I thought that was because they wanted to promote the live-action show, which is over and flopped, if I have read correctly. Seems like now they'd be willing to cash in on both in the Home Entertainment market.
It was the reason and that series ended like 5 years ago. Still no Sailor Moon stuff out even in Japan. The only old anime Toei is focusing on is Dragonball Z which is airing now as Dragonball Kai(with reduce episodes) and last year they did whole new Dragonball OVA.

I don't think you would have to worry about that at all if they do get Sailor Moon rights. One Piece is a BIG example.

One Piece is WAY longer than Sailor Moon anime(still going on in Japan) and Funimation is starting at beginning working way up in order. But they are releasing them by bulks of episodes so it won't take forever. In less than two years we went from start of story all way up to end of East Blue Saga. I'll say that's quite impressive progress along with well made dub.

They could do same deal with Sailor Moon.

nice pic, Enigmawing although her eyes look a lot like Tiana's

Super Aurora- Thanks, and yeah, I was going for the Disney look here instead of the anime one this time around. ;)

So Slave2moonlight, you really expect them to hire some new girls to sound like the old girls, to do the last season of the show...NOW, or LATER, like how many years after the show stopped? They already had a second Serena that didn't sound much like the first Serena.

Bascially, what you want is very wishful, and maybe the right thing to do for fans of the old dub. But it's a dub, it's not the original.

Yes, you love the dub so much you are not going to vote for a new dub because you want your old dub over a new, better, more faithful one.

And I don't blame you for it, but you have to realize, your wish of hiring sound alikes for the last season and re-releasing the old dub is so unlikely so long after the dub ended, while right here our dream of a new dub is much closer to being reality, but you won't help it because you love your old dub. A new dub would reawaken the series for a new generation and reach more people because it would be on TV, more young kids would ssee it instead of the teens who are able to search for it.

Thought I'd revive this thread with a quickie sketch I did for one of the kids I was babysitting for last week . . .

Not sure how soon I can color this one . . . I wish I didn't have to be so busy! I don't usually attempt the manga style and it's been ages since I've actually drawn on paper so I had fun with this one.

Anyway, I'd still kill to see either new SM animation or some kind of new release of the old material.

I find it funny how Serena is really this beautiful and enchanting princess from another planet. Yet her alter ego on Earth is that of a lazy, boy crazy, videogame obsessed, bad at school girl.

Great job, e!

I suppose that's the whole irony of the Serena character, the fact that her personality is so layered and she has a past life that's so removed from her current life.
I'm just valentine candy and boxing-gloves!
