Has anyone heard what the special features are going to be?

This release is making me antsy. I almost don't believe it's actually happening, or that something like the Tarzan Special Edition fiasco will happen. For me this whole year is begining to get too good to be true, I don't know if we can get away with it.

I love Lilo and Stitch, and I will probably buy this, but I'll feel like a fool doing so. At this point, Disney shouldn't be doing DVD-only releases. There should be a blu-ray alternative. This is too little too late. Now they are just milking us for our last non-blu-ray dollars, just like with all the rereleases they've been doing.

I feel the same exact way! I'm not going to fully believe anything until UD posts official word from Disney about the bonus features. I'm hopeful, but I'm not yet fully convinced.

Like a few others here, I won't be buying this unless it's on Blu-Ray... although I wanted this DVD released since the UK version came out, long ago.

A little behind the times, Disney...

Thanks!

They list the special features as these:
  • # Deleted Scenes
    # "Your 'Ohana" Music Video Featuring The Hawaiian Chorus
    # The Story Room: An Interactive Behind-The-Scenes Look At The Making Of The Film
    # Lilo & Stitch Island Adventure Games
    # A Stitch In Time: Follow Stitch Through The Disney Years
    # "I Can't Help Falling In Love With You" Music Video Performed By A-Teens
    # DisneyPedia: Hawaii -- The Islands Of Aloha: Explore The Hawaiian Islands
    # And Much, Much More!
So looks like my fears of Disc 2 = Digital Copy can be rested, since they listed the two-hour documentary. :D

(Of course, now I'm afraid they might drop some stuff like the trailers or the commentary...)

I don't think I'll be buying this, as much as I want to. It just doesn't make sense to if you are going to go with the blu-ray down the line. Most of us who enjoy this movie do so with the already released DVD, there is no reason to upgrade a film that is not going to have better picture or sound. We've waited 5/6 years for the 2 hour documentary, so I can wait for it to be on the blu-ray. Plus, think how good you'll feel about buying the blu-ray version, not having been duped into buying the DVD for the second time. Blu-ray or nothing at all, your move Disney!!!

omg now i have to get it! (being sarcastic here, since apparently Escapay thought I was serious)

in all seriousness though, I'll definitely get it just b/c I love Lilo that much to "double dip." Plus, there's the fact that Kram still has my current dvd in his possession...Kram, if you're reading this, it's been seven years, in case you didn't know.

Old Fish Tale, thank you sooo much for posting that link!

I will definitely be buying this because of the documentary!

Now, the question is: Should I sell my copy of L&S now? I mean, I could either go to CD Warehouse and get store credit with it or some cash, or sell it on Half.com...part of me thinks that I should sell it now, before the new edition comes out, so those who don't know that a new edition is coming out will buy my copy. But, should I wait until we're 100% sure that the documentary will be on the new version? Since if they pull a Tarzan[/i[ or TENG on us and I sell my copy, I won't be happy...

There's more of you??!! :o

If your anything like Scaps and Kram then you guys would be like...the Warner Brothers and their sister Dot  Nice to meet you.

Anyways....it figures Disney releases the 2-disc not long after I get the original release  I'll consider picking this up, perhaps right away it depends how long it takes my brain to have an indepth discussion on the pros and cons of double dipping. So....I should have decided by the time it gets released :)

I think I"m going to go work off this caffeine high now....

Are they adding any features which aren't in the Australian version? I paid $3.50AUD for my copy of it hehe.

But to be honest I can't watch the 2 hour doco. Only about half of it has any substance, most of it being just somewhat-random footage that chris sanders took of himself whilst making the film. It'll probably interest most of you though, but I just don't like Sanders...

Does anyone know if this release is exclusive to the US, or will there be a European re-release?

I would have posted this question in the International DVD section, but it seems kind of dead :?

It doesn't seem. It is.

Until ichabod posts some of his witticisms, at least.

Oh, and I really doubt it'll get a rerelease in the European continent. If it does then BVHE really are barmy. :P
