Funnily enough I posted this over in the other Meet the Robinsons thread at round about the same time as you (a minute or less difference).

I saw this attached to Santa Clause 3 today and was impressed by the trailer. This movie just looks so creative, vivid, and fun. The scene with the T-Rex cracked me up. I don't think I've looked forward to a Disney animated classic this much since Lilo & Stitch, which this very much seems to be in the vein of.
I saw the new trailer w/ Santa Clause 3. I definitely want to see this, unlike Chicken Little which didn't interest me one bit.
Disney Channel died when they stopped airing movies with Haley mills (Parent Trap and Pollyanna) and fun adventure movies like Swiss Family Robinson. R.I.P. the REAL Disney Channel. Date of Death: When the shows became teenie bopperish.

Oh My God! I haven't looked forward to an animated film this much since Home on the Range! The film looks so colourful, whimsical and fun! And the animation is simply wonderful! I can't desribe how, but the humans seem to look like 2D Disney characters, even though they are 3D, if you get what I mean!

Chicken Little had no appeal to me, it sucked cause it made me laugh once...(When the pig swallows the paper bag). Finding Nemo was way better cause the jokes were much better. It made me laugh over and over again... but hey it is only an opinion and we are all different.
Meet the Robinsons seems interesting enough to visit it in the theatre, but im not exspecting much. The Trailer looks alright and the dino made me chuckle.
Am I the only one looking foward to "Bridge To Terabithia"? Only the picture shown on Disney.com seems interesting enough to go visit it. Looks very dark and mysterious. Although I did not like Narnia for the weak story and cheesy ending (Amazing cinematography though)... I have high hopes for this new same style movie.

I've just watched the trailer again (for like the 9 millionth time
) and something jumped out at me.
Could there be a possible spoiler in the trailer?
About 2/5 of the way through the trailer when Wilbur Robinson says 'Lewis, Meet the Robinsons!', we see a shot of the Robinsons, and one of them looks suspisciously like a grown up version of Lewis!
Anyone else notice this?

Yeah, someone pointed it out in another thread that was made for the film's teaser trailer (the spoiler shot showed up in that, too).ichabod wrote:I've just watched the trailer again (for like the 9 millionth time) and something jumped out at me.

Wow! I didn't see the trailer but I was Googling up some images cos I was bored one time, and I wrote "Robinsons" in the search bar, and up came a pic of the Robinsons with what looked like a grown-up version of Lewis! I thought the exact same thing as ichabod!Disneykid wrote:Yeah, someone pointed it out in another thread that was made for the film's teaser trailer (the spoiler shot showed up in that, too).ichabod wrote:I've just watched the trailer again (for like the 9 millionth time) and something jumped out at me.

SPOILER PIC HERE (View at your own risk):

Note: Out of subject, but that image is taken from what appears to be a French site, and it says:
For who doesn't understand French, that says "After Chicken Little and The Wild, the Disney Studios present their third animated production in CGI: Meet the Robinsons".Après Chicken Little et The Wild, les studios Disney présentent leur troisième production animées en images de synthèse : Meet the Robinsons.
I don't wish to restart the "The Wild" argument, but that sentence makes me cringe.
Just wanted to point that out...chapter closed.

Colour me excited! I just saw the trailer and it was frakin' awesome! I was laughing the whole way through. The villian looks like he has what it takes to become a future classic (reminded me a lot of Hades). The animation is creative and fresh and the characters all seem to shine. And the best part is, it comes out the day before my birthday! I know what I'm planning for my B-Day next year (besides going to a bar for my official 18th year celebration
).

First off, I know you wrote this a while ago, Mr. Toad, but
Tisk, tisk.
About "Meet the Robinsons", though- boy, am I excited! I read the book it's based on ("A Day With Wilbur Robinson" by William (?) Joyce), and it was quirky, and the trailers have shown MTR to be quirky. It looks great. I am concerned about the music, though- the music in the trailer...is that in the movie? Remember how the "Chicken Little" trailers had R.E.M.'s "It's the End of the World As We Know It"? I just don't know anything about the music for this film...
Anyhoo, I can't wait until it comes out! It looks different, but really neat and funny!
vs Chicken Little which has umm what exactly going for it aside from giving the Black Cauldron a run for its money as the most unwatchable movie out of DFA ever?

Yes! Whenever I think of her, I think of that Roseanne episode, called Wait 'til Your Father Gets Home, where she's talking to her hard-of-hearing great aunt, and Roseanne forces her to call and she shouts:Simba3 wrote:Agreed. Laurie Metcalf is great!! I loved that she was the voice of Andy's mom in the Toy Story movies and now she is in Meet the Robinsons. I love her!
"Dad's gone. He's passed away. Daid is gone. YES! He's passed on. Goodbye! (slams phone down, to Roseanne): I'm not doing that again, you can't make me!"
LOL GREAT scene!
