Meg isn't a Disney Princess.
She's just a damsel in distress, maybe she can get own franchise (That whould be neat) but still, she doesn't belong to the Disney Princess line,Atlantica-there's also dolls of TinkerBell,Esmeralda,Alice and I think also Jane.
I think Eilonway is underrated and she should be a Disney Princess (She reminds me a lot of Aurora,Belle and Jasmine).
I whould love to see Scuttle and Alice In Wonderland merchandise (Thought I think they will make an Alice in Wonderland franchise, did anyone noticed that in the Disney Cosumer Products site there's a picture of a little girl with characters from Wonderland? I think they're planning something).

Anything that is not related to Princesses, Toy Story, Pooh, Stitch, Pirates or even Mickey and Friends. Jeez, that's all they can think about now, those characters and no one else!

I think that a lot of the sidekicks and pets are underrated like Abu, Carpet, Rajah, Pegasus, Piglet, Jaq, Gus, Flounder, Scuttle, Sebastian, Zazu, Timothy Mouse, The Lost Boys, etc. They are all underrated.

More villain products in general,
(Yzma, Jafar, Frollo, Hades)

furthermore I would spend some serious do on anything Lion King related
(yes I know there's a lot already, but still MORE!!!!!)

Lady & the tramp consumer products would be nice too!
When it comes to brains, I got the lion-share,
but when it comes to bruth strength, I'm afraid I'm at the shallow end of the gene pool

Don't forget Fairies and The Nightmare Before Christmas,I whould replace Toy Story with all Pixar characters (Espically Cars (It's crazy how much merchandise this film is keep getting),Finding Nemo and I"m sure that WALL-E too).

The most underrated character has to be King Eidilleg from The Black Cauldron, the 25th animated Disney classic.

A close second would be the broomstick from Fantasia.

I want Alice to be more noticed by Disney. She is most evident in the parks; I think something to do with Wonderland is in almost every park. I just wish this would translate to more product.

I mean .. .. her whole story is centered in a 'Wonderland' .. wouldnt that give Disney some great opportunities ?

I could be biased though, as she is my second favourite character :D

Disney Villians should absolutley have their own line of stuff. I think it would be really successful, personally.

I don't think Eilonwy (or any character from that horrid movie for that matter) should be given any notice, but anyhow, Eilonwy would be very out of place with the other princess.

The other princess all come from classic texts, such as fairytales, 1001 arabian nights, chinese legends or actual historic accounts. To put in a fantasy character into that ensemble vastly cheapen (the already compromised) label.

Really? is there any reason you don't like it?.
Hmm,you have a point (Also Enchanted is inspired by them) so I suppose it's about fairy tales/stories.

I just really disliked the film. For the same reason I strongly dislike Peter Pan. Both movies (imo) portrayed very superficial characters and minimal development and didn't encourage very much audience participation.

But of course, that's only my opinion, and seeing how these movies have generated many hardcore fans, I can't say they are utter failures.

In the parks, the villains have allot of recognition. They star in Fantasmic! at both Disneyland and Disneyworld. In Disneyworld the villains have their own logo and line of products that can be found at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in the store ‘Villains In Vogue’. The store and the franchise is a sham of what it used to be. Disney rarely makes new products now, and the store has become overrun with Pirates and Nightmare merchandise. Although still themed to the villains, they only have a shelf in their own store. It’s really sad. The last time the Villains had full run of their store and a ton of amazing merchandise was in 2002-2003. You can also find allot of villain merchandise at Hot Topic. They have Disney Villain (female Villains only) bags, wallets, shirts, shoelaces, jewelry, accessories, and perfume.

Maleficent stars in ‘Dream Along With Mickey’, the castle stage show at Disneyworld, and the Villains have their own float in Disneyworld’s ‘Dreams Come True Parade’. I would love for Disney to create a villains franchise outside of the parks, or at least restore the franchise in the parks, to make it like it was several years ago. I’m kind of surprised the Villains don’t have their own franchise.

Regarding the Princesses, according to the recent of update of Disney Consumer Products web site, Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, Ariel, Belle, Jasmine, and Pocahontas are the official Disney Princesses. The site was just updated a few months ago. They make it clear that those seven that I listed are the ONLY princesses in the franchise. Not Giselle, not Esmeralda, not Megara, not Kida, not Elionway. Although those girls are sometimes featured with the princesses they are NOT official princesses. It is a shame how Disney singles out certain characters and completely rejects others.

Ludwig Von Drake.

I'd kill for some Drake merchandise. I had a talking (well it did talk once upon a time) Ludwig plushie from the 70's but it was lost in my latest move, and that was the only thing besides pins and a couple statuettes that I've ever seen with Ludwig on it.

He is too awesome to be ignored.

You forgot Mulan by the way,and Giselle isn't a official addition? because they seems to make her official (Thought I already told you that).

I agree that Megara isn't really given the credit she deserves. In the movie, Meg is a "girl with a past", and we can easily tell she's been around the block, so to speak. She doesn't really fit into the Princess line, but in my opinion she's one of ther strongest female characters Disney has created.

Ditto Esmeralda from "The Hunchback of Notre Dame". Merchandise-wise, I only recall pieces available when the movie was in cinemas (the beautiful 'Gypsy Dance' Esmeralda doll, and a hideous stuffed doll with oversized plastic head). I think Esmeralda definitely has more potential, too.
I'm just valentine candy and boxing-gloves!

Cogsworth

Why isn't he included in the BATB Platinum Edition DVD cover?
