Mason_Ireton's Pinocchio Platinum Edition Trailer!
Sorry for not checking this out before. That was incredible. That was really something. Powerful. I'll go into more details:
It began kind of weird, I didn't think the music fit. But there were the words, "you can't escape", and it was like Pinocchio couldn't escape being a wooden puppet. Then, the music got some base and added instruments, and the words "70th Anniversary Platinum Edition" were perfect, appearing with the Blue Fairy. That was a perfect move, and the similar ones, all where the Blue Fairy strikes something with her wand and the light shimmers, were very impactful. Then when they first sang "Don't let nobody tell you" it was like warning Pinocchio not to listen to what Foufellow tells him! Then, all the slogans were great, like "Make a wish" and "Give a Little Whistle", and the reminders of "The Beauty" and the "Foul Villains". Speaking of reminding, your video reminded me how great the animation is, and perhaps now I will agree with everyone that the the 40's really was the golden age of Disney's best work. Especially Monstro's animation, whoah! He's the scariest villain in my opinion! The "Island of Bonus Features" was a really good way to sell the amount of material there would be, especially since you showed how much Pleasure Island is filled with. And then it ended perfectly.
You got me excited for this film! Do you realize, you just did what trailers are supposed to do? Make me want to buy the film! Pinocchio wasn't really in my top 5 favorites and I didn't know if I should get the Platinum but now I will! Let's hope they don't screw the release up!

And by the way Disney Duster, if you enjoyed all of the Disney music videos including me that I posted the classics DTV ones, I found this "Next" bumper for DTV on the Disney Channel. That was from a long time ago. I remember the Disney Channel used to run DTV for years putting a collection of Disney music videos to the show. I do missed it a lot. Here it is.

Can't Top Pigs With Pigs
Thank you for the beaming review Disney Duster, I remembered you or somebody on this thread suggested "Into The Rush" for a Snow White or various video, tested the song against some S.W scenes and the experiment failed. But I never gave up on the idea of using Into The Rush, so when I heard Pinocchio was gon'na be released in platinum, the whole thing just poured itself onto the screen. Currently I'm brainstorming songs for:
Aristocats 37th Special Edition
Winnie The Pooh (the whole franchise)
Sleeping Beauty
Aladdin
Again I'm not trying to "Top Pigs With Pigs", as the masterful Walt Disney puted it.

Revenge Of The Villains
My latest music vid. is a personal tribute to Disney Villains, their plots, twisted designs and imitidating apperance makes such perfect foils for "Me VS The World".

Mandy In Wonderland/ Jungle Book 40th
I've putted a spin on Alice's Wonderland by tampering with her name, Alice in exchange for Mandy. You know why Alice goes to Wonderland...follow the rabbit, but what happens if she just went there for kicks?
Mandy: Alice can't figure out why everybody in Wonderland calls her Mandy and remains curious bout the area's bizzare twilight zone.

Even better news for Jungle Book fans, if you saw the real verison, then you'll be impressed with my verison.
Jungle Book Platnuim: Baloo/Mowgli are back for more Bare Necessities and celebrate 40 years of jungle boggie.

I found this one is not a Disney music video, it was by Green Jelly and it was called the "Three Little Pigs". Here it is.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fl4vDTf7crQ
If you want to make your own Disney music video with Green Jelly's song, take any clip from four of the "Three Little Pigs" saga ("Three Little Pigs", "The Big Bad Wolf", "Three Little Wolves" and "The Practical Pig") and there you go. Then, put Green Jelly's song and you can make a Disney music video with Green Jelly's "Three Little Pigs" with clips from the four cartoons. It is a great idea to make.

Green Jelly's Pigs
Thanks for the link Musicradio, I'll admit, the vid. was intresting though the song contains a mild dark tone of the story, I wouldn't wan'na remake Big Bad Wolf. To me, it's a perfect to the 3 Lil Pigs series and as Walt said bout sequels: You can't top Pigs with Pigs.

Mason_Ireton's Music Videos
Okay, now I've finally seen your newest vids!
Disney Villains: The best one of this batch! It was so good! I noticed some poeple on Youtube didn't get why you had good characters in there, but listening to the lyrics I saw those good characters were in there as the victims of the villains, the ones the villains are after. I really liked the song and everything was perfect, actually. I really felt for the characters up against evil. The whole video had a tone that made you go, "Oh no, will the villains win?"
Mandy/Alice: Well, this was a nice video, but I didn't like the song that much. Alice kept looking happy, though, in some scenes, so I didn't think it made sense since I thought you were trying to make her always confused in the video, since they kept calling her Mandy.
But it was nice to watch and I got to see great animation, of course.
Jungle Book Platinum: Well, I really loved the beginning, but then I thought it dragged on a lot. What I mean by that is there were so many scenes of almost the same thing, just dancing in the jungle. I know there's a lot of that in the movie, but I just got tired of seeing that over and over. The parts with fire and man and the villains was good, though, especially "The Tempation" part. Also, I really don't think you should put sequel stuff in there, because I feel it's false advertising for a trailer. People won't be getting that on the DVD. They want to wtach the original classic.
But good vids, especially the Villains one, one of your new best! It's a shame you said this will be it for a while. I have to concentrate on community college for myself, though. I actually should do what you do and take breaks from Ultimate Disney but I'm addicted.
I hope you do well in school, thanks for taking the time to give us awesome music vids!

Re: Mason_Ireton's New Vids.
Thanks for the tad harsh review on Jungle Book, I agree it felt alil dragged, but to me, I wanted to embodie the film's spirit.
As for Mandy, the song was gon'na be using Sleeping Beauty but then I decided Alice could work because Wonderland is a twilight zone.
I love Disney Villains as well, I understand how some people were confused on the heroes being the victim, the words do match the portrayals of a classic Disney villain. Would've added Peg Leg Pete to the vid. but couldn't find a suitable clip.
After watch clips from preview of "Twist In Time", reading the plot, Cinderella 3 had inspired me to make a new vid in March, Crash And Burn. Since there might be some good sequences/characters to represent some lines I'll take a crack at it.

Tribute Vids.
I'm just brainstorming tribute vids. "It Ends Tonight"-American Rejects, has a lovely haunting melody tune along with provoctive lyrics yet you feel a dark experience reopen in your mind. A couple weeks ago I watched Boys Don't Cry", a based on true story drama film based on Teena Brandon (A Transexual) who, to me, represented the song's message, Hope is always surrounding you "when darkness turns to light". Before I greenlight the project, I wan'na know if anybody would be offend if I made a tribute film based on Boys Don't Cry?
Here's a link to a biography of Teena Brandon

I didn't mean to be harsh on the Jungle Book one, but I said what I felt. I try to be honest as I can. But The Jungle Book really is about having fun, but then having to grow up, so you did capture that!
Hmmm...well, I would obviously love a Twist In Time video! When you own the movie I guess you'll get to do something, if you still want to. If you were to do it, remember that clips from the original and the sequel are okay in the same video as long as it's not in a trailer, because a trailer advertises what you will be getting, but a music video is exactly what you're getting! Let me know if you are able to work with it, since you're not sure if you can use anything yet.
Actually, a note about using sequel scenes in trailers with the original: I think that is sometimes fine, because if you saw the Twist In Time trailer they even used scenes from the original Cinderella in the beginning of it. So, I guess using those scenes is fine, it just depends on what you use. Using something from the past for a sequel's trailer if more acceptable because it's about the sequel, but using what happens afterward in a trailer about the original is different, because you're showing them older, wiser, and changed, you know what I'm saying?
If you want to do something about a transexual, that's very bold, brave, and honorable. We have to express ourselves in art, and show truth in art. We need to show that there are people being treated badly, and people with very deep problems who fight with even their own sexuality. I won't be offended at all by your video, but warn us if there's nudity or something. I don't like watching nudity, but anything else is fine.
Thanks for that link. Wow. I can't believe how evil humanity can be. Thanks for letting me learn something about this world. How horrible for Brandon, may he rest in piece and be what he wants. I hope he can take the form he wishes for in the afterlife.

Future Projects
Teena Brandon: Thanks for your insights on this idea, again I'm making the vid. out of pureness yet show a darker side of life, gon'na put this project on hold till I thought thru the song's message, research the inspiration, etc. There's a semi graphic rape scene in Boys Don't Cry, but it's cruical to the story, still thinking bout that sequence, I'll try finding a lighter climax from the film.
Sequel/Orignal: I understand what you mean by the acceptence of sequel clips being used in ads. International trailer used 2 scenes from Peter Pan for Return To Neverland and it worked seamslessly.
Twist In Time: I'm not making a trailer for it, there's a couple of key scenes that I'll use for the ending yet it's not gon'na be revealed. The film played in my mind when the line:
I wonder what it’s like to be like you
To never really care how bad it hurts
So go ahead and lie and keep moving on
It’s all about yourself you’re never wrong
I’ll watch you crash and burn"
So far this project might be greenlit once I changed the avi file to a mpeg file.

2nd Star To The Right
After hearing T-Squad's lousy remake of 2nd Star To The Right", I decided to bring forth Jesse McCartney to lay his tracks for "2nd Star", hopefully this will rid everybody's mind of T-Squad's remake.
2nd Star To The Right: Neverland's full of adventures, wishes and plenty of imagination. Peter Pan represents the spirit of youth while reminding us the power of childhood.

2nd Star to the Right
I took a look on Youtube at T-Sqaud's rendition (I couldn't find the video, just live performances) and everyone made it sound so horrible that I was shocked to find that it wasn't that bad. I mean...it just seemed noisy and had a lot of extra, unnecessary beats and repetitions. But Jesse McCartney's is definately better. Even Aaron, who reviewed the Peter Pan Platinum Edition DVD, said so, and thought a music video of Jesse's should have been in the DVD. I listened to the original song, too, and both renditions are pretty different from the original, in my opinion.
So, I have to say I found it really funny that in the beginning of teh video Peter Pan siad, "This won't do. What's the matter with you?" because it was like he was saying that to T-Squad, because their video wouldn't do! Then the song came on and it was really loud, so I think you need to fix the volume so that the clips of the characters talking and the music are as loud as each other. Starting out with the ship was great, and Jesse's voice is actually really nice to listen to, so it went together really well, and stays that way through the whole thing. I really liked how John and Michael were fake sword fighting, and then Peter and Hook were real sword fighting, so it was like their sword fighting dream came true. Then, Tinker Bell flying down was really beautiful and full of energy for the next part. The first "Twinkle Twinkle little star" was beautiful, because you had Tinker Bell's twinkling, dying glow while Peter was searching for her, and it was a sad moment that went perfectly with Jesse's slightly more sad-sounding emotion in those lyrics. In fact, the "So I'll know where you are" was perfect for Peter Pan looking for Tinker Bell, because her glow let him know where she was! I liked how the Lost Boys were "Following the Leader" being led to the land they dream of. Then, when the journey was through, and it panned up to the sailing ship, the ship was sailing "second from the right" of the moon! Now, the first problem I had was when you just kept the star still in the sky after that part. I liked how the camera wasn't moving like zooming in or anything, but I think you should have tried to get the star to twinkle, because it's stillness after all that twinkling just didn't work for me. I also was a little distracted by the way Wendy interrupted about flying to Neverland, just because the music ended so suddenly and the volume was quiet. Once again, I think the volume was the issue, and I think you should have made Wendy start talking the instant the music stopped, just a little quicker, but I know timing is hard! Nice work with the slightly softer, more emotional-sounding "Twinkle Twinkle little star" playing while Wendy had a motherly moment with the Lost Boys, and good visuals with the appearence of Neverland for "Lead me to the land I dream of". It got sad when the journey was through and Peter had to say good-bye. Good use of Peter on the rooftop, by himself in the shadows, it made it all the sadder. And then the imagery of leaving Never Land was fantastic. Are the lyrics, "We'll thank the little star that shines second from the right"? Because that's really nice, thanking the star for the wonderful journey.
But I should thank you for the wonderful journey! Another excellent video, one of your best, really! And I was surprised I liked the song so much, I was wondering why everyone kept mentioning it and saying how good it was!
I wish more people would come in here and see your videos. Each one is a treasure, and within that treasure you have a lot of perfect gems. They are so good. When you grow up, are you thinking of working with media like being a film editer? Or a trailer maker or a music video maker?

Re: 2nd Star To The Right
Thanks for the in depth review Disney Duster, in some ways I'm not proud of my latest project, why?
1. The volume of the film was mono, I'll try to find the soundtrack and see if that works.
2. The vids. I've made in the past do have gems, cause they had alil special effect (film reel) which I noticed lately, have disappeared on moi.
3. Seemed too concluding, too fast paced yet it keeps the soul of the talented, Sammy Fain, Sammy Cahn and Frank Churchill's compostions
2nd Star To The Right, has a special place in somebody's heart.... and she appericates me for making it for her....So you can't claim to be the only person who lies my vids. *chuckles*
I planned on John/Michael reflecting Hook/Pan's swordfight, using scenes of Neverland's scenery and the 2nd Star scene too. Tink's glow I didn't realize, represents the "Twinkle lil star" lyric, thanks for pointing that part out.
Again thanks for the in depth review, sorry bout the mono sound, but it was made in the 50s hi-fi style.

Mason suggested that I post my video here seeing as I accidentaly created my own topic about it. lol. This is the first video I've ever done. I wish I could change a few things about it, such as timing the action to fit the beats of the music a little better, but it's too late for that.
So here is a breakdown of what my video is. It is a tribute to Walt Disney Feature Animation set to "Remember When" by LeAnn Rimes, the song written for the 50th anniversary of Disneyland. My original plan was to include a clip from every traditionally animated film (Snow White through Home on the Range), but the song wasn't long enough and if I had stuck with that goal, the clips would have been much to fast paced. I have highlighted some of my favorite moments in Disney animation. I really hope you guys enjoy it and please give me feedback. My Spring break starts tomorrow and I will probably create at least one more video before break is over. Here is the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P7lvblx_wA8
That being said, Mason, I had a few minutes to check out some of your videos. You do some amazing work. I particularly like your villians video set to the Simple Plan song. Great editing and great clips. I plan to do my next video on Disney Adventures (it will be nothing like the magazine, I assure you). Stuff like Peter Pan fighting Captain Hook, Phillips battle with Maleficent, Beast vs. Gaston, etc. Kind of a Disney heros type of deal... maybe I should retitle it that... I don't know.

Disney Music Videos
Mason_Ireton I didn't think you could ever be disappointed in such a great video! If the volume was real trouble for you, don't be too hard on yourself for something that you couldn't do much about. What did you mean that all your old videos had "film reel"? And this Peter Pan video is a real gem, even with some minor imperfections. I think it ended a little fast, but I didn't think the video was too fast at all. It's a faster interpretation of the song, and it went perfectly with the song.goofystitch wrote:Mason suggested that I post my video here seeing as I accidentaly created my own topic about it.
That's nice that you made the video for someone, and they appreciate all your hard, good work.
Goofystitch, WOW. That was excellent work! That was really good! First of all, the song was beautiful, so that really helped. The lyrics were perfect for Disney because it's about loving Disney after living for a long time, growing up. I don't have time right now to get into specifics, but Belle and the Beast "held on tight", Lilo was wishing, and everytime she sang "Fly away", it was so powerful because of the music and the imagery, both times, Herc and Peter, wow! Like I said, I'm not gonna get into specifics but it was beautiful and even touching and all very good stuff! You did match things to the music, so I wonder how much better it could be with the timing you wanted. The only thing is, this may sound weird, but I would have liked to see during the second time she sang "close your eyes", Sleeping Beauty closing her eyes (when she wakes up, backward) instead of the dancing.

I'm starting work on my second video, but I'm having a hard time with song selection. It's about Disney Adventures (mainly action sequences) and I was going to set it to the music from "Fantasmic," but the walk out music isn't powerful enough to capture the feel of what I'm going for. I'm toying with the idea of using "Leap of Faith" by Big & Rich, but that song is so long and it sounds weird when I edit a minute of it out. Does anybody know of a really great song about 3:30-4:00 minutes in length that would fit well to action sequences?
That was actually the clip that I wanted to put there, but it wasn't rendering correctly. This took me almost 7 hours because of how long it takes to load the clips and I tried that clip 3 times. After the third time it didn't work, I decided that the dancing scene was one of the most memorable parts of sleeping beauty and that it fit the music well, so I chose that instead. Thanks for your wonderful comments. The only thing is, this may sound weird, but I would have liked to see that second time she sang "cole your eyes", sleeping beauty closing her eyes (when she wakes up, backward) instead of the dancing.

I finished my second video. It's called "Disney Adventures." I ended up using "He's A Pirate" form The Curse of the Black Pearl. I had to edit the song a little to make it longer so I could show all that I wanted to. It took a lot of work to try to get the action to match the beats, so I really hope everyone likes it. Let me know what I need to improve on for my next video. I'm not sure what I will do next. I want to do something love themed, but 90% of Disney music videos on youtube are love themed and I kind of feel like it's all been done already. It's the same reason why I'm not eager to tackle a Princess music video. There are just so many out there. If I do a love themed one, it will be set to "It's All Coming Back To Me" by Meat Loaf and Marion Raven. Thanks for checking out my video.

I finished my 3rd video and it is on youtube now. It's called Disney Happy Endings. I tried to capture the feeling one typically gets at the end of a Disney movie. I set it to "Tara's Theme" from "Gone With the Wind." I really hope you enjoy it and let me know what you think/what I need to improve upon. Thanks. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fOJSZ2Bm7Cg
