Don't take this the wrong way, but why are you so concerned about what other people think? No offense. And of course it doesn't make you stupid. I happen to have Aspergers myself and I'm into Disney. Does it make me stupid? See the pattern here?DisneyFan97 wrote:I am 23 and like this show !![]()

Well, DisneyFan97, I am 38, have Asperger's and enjoy a trip to Enchancia or Avalor once in a while. Those who do not understand why people like us enjoy Sofia and Elena... THEY are the ones who are stupid.DisneyFan97 wrote:I am 23 and like this show !![]()

Elena & Sofia used 2 different types of software & and 2 different animation styles. Sofia's original model looked monstrous when dropped into Elena's world as-is. Plus, we had to age Sofia up, which meant we had to manage her giant head, giant eyes, and eyebrows that are half way up her forehead. We went through 6 or 7 versions, which is a lot in TV, all or a character in basically two scenes. I was calling retakes on specific frames!
Source: https://twitter.com/CraigGerber_/status ... 8553388032We had to make them look older and once you start tweaking the models, everyone is going to have an opinion.
Source: https://twitter.com/CraigGerber_/status ... 7203474432Q: In that crossover, they used both styles. Elena’s series finale: just hers.
Craig Gerber: Elena was done in Sofia's style in the crossover. It's easier for older characters to go back in forth between the styles because they aren't as exaggerated as the kids in the world of Sofia.
Source: https://twitter.com/CraigGerber_/status ... 0062087168Q: How were the rest of Sofia’s family?
Craig Gerber: Parents were easy. Just needed to tweak the way their skin looked. James and Amber were tricky to age up and stay on-model. We wound up adjusting original models to be a bit older and sprucing up the outfits.
Source: https://twitter.com/CraigGerber_/status ... 5970588673Q: I’m curious, how old are Sofia, James and Amber in this cameo?
Craig Gerber: About 4 years older than the last time we saw them.
Source: https://twitter.com/CraigGerber_/status ... 9397734402Q: Why is she wearing her regular tiara and not her EverRealm protector one? Is it because she's representing Enchancia and not the protectors?
Craig Gerber: I think she was in a sentimental mood. Went old school Enchancia for the coronation.
Source: https://twitter.com/CraigGerber_/status ... 0138637315Q: How about Amber? Why is she not wearing a tiara? Did you consider to use her old hairstyle?
Craig Gerber: We tried to age her up and the tiara didn't quite work with the new hair-do.
Source: https://twitter.com/CraigGerber_/status ... 6226251776Q: Was Sofia showing up at Elena's coronation planned from the beginning or was it added in later?
Craig Gerber: It was always the plan.

Good Lord in Heaven, Sofia looks so creepy but I am happy she made an appearance. This remind me, was anyone bothered that Pocahontas never made a cameo on the show ?Sotiris wrote:Sofia and her family appeared in the Elena of Avalor series finale.
Oh yes, I was! It wasn`t strange by any means, but of course it was an outrage! After all, she`s a part of the of the official lineup, so she should`ve been included. But due to her low popularity, it was expected that Disney wouldn`t bother to include her and find vague excuses to cover up for it.Redadoodles wrote:This remind me, was anyone bothered that Pocahontas never made a cameo on the show ?
Craig Gerber stated many times on Twitter that the reason why Pocahontas wasn’t included was because he couldn’t think of a story to include her that satisfied anyone else other than him. It is possible that one such attempt was for an episode involving Miranda going back to open up her book store, which was rejected by Disney due to them thinking that the little ones A.k.a. the show/channels main target demographic wouldn’t be interested in an episode revolving around the grownups; even though they have done some earlier episodes involving them, such as The Baker King, And even at least half of The Tri-Kingdom Picnic, but I guess maybe those episodes didn’t do so well/or negatively viewed by the main target demographicDisneyFan09 wrote:Oh yes, I was! Thanks but I am aware of that and that wasn't my question anyway. I was curious about how the fans reacted to it not why she was not included.Patricier21 wrote: Craig Gerber stated many times on Twitter that the reason why Pocahontas wasn’t included was because he couldn’t think of a story to include her that satisfied anyone else other than him.
Fans were upset, naturally. Especially because they were looking forward to Irene Bedard and Judy Kuhn reprising the character. By the way, the reason Pocahontas was excluded was not due to her lack of popularity but because execs wouldn't sign off on it, probably because she has become such a controversial, politicized character.Redadoodles wrote:I was curious about how the fans reacted to it not why she was not included.

But we really did try our best and I think there were probably like three times that we tried to include Pocahontas before I finally gave up.
Yes, they've even released a promo for it.Disney's Divinity wrote: ↑Sun Aug 28, 2022 7:09 pmThey've aired a few episodes the past week I guess for the whole World Princess Week thing they're doing or whatever.
Jenny Kidd was the singing voice of Rapunzel in that episode. I assume this was done because it costs more to hire Mandy Moore to sing than to speak. Paige O'Hara wasn't even asked to reprise her role. She was replaced by Julie Nathanson as the voice of Belle in 2011 because her voice started to change. Paige was pretty upset by this at the time.Disney's Divinity wrote: ↑Sun Aug 28, 2022 7:09 pmRapunzel had to be the worst. I suppose O'Hara wasn't interested (or busy) more than they passed her over though.

Only seen a handful now. The only song that stood out was Mulan's, I actually kind of liked that one.

Oh, really? I wonder why they would do that with her and not with Ariel, Jasmine, or Mulan, for example. Perhaps there was anger over O'Hara not being asked at the time and that's why they made sure not to re-cast the others?Sotiris wrote:Jenny Kidd was the singing voice of Rapunzel in that episode.
