Re: Musker & Clements' Moana
*Sigh* Where do I begin? The logo is fanmade (it's taken from Disney Wiki), the description is taken from the information Brendon Connelly of Bleeding Cool had revealed, we've long established that it won't be in the hybrid medium of Paperman (Musker himself confirmed this), and the release date of 2018 is based on the release schedule Honor Hunter of Blue Sky Disney posted a while back.
So, nothing new; just a fake logo.

I had a feeling that the logo was fake, but i posted just in case. So, Moana may be out in 2016? Why is it taking so long? Story probs?

Re: Musker & Clements' Moana
Dave Metzger will be the arranger/orchestrator on Moana.
Source: http://www.hispanicbusiness.com/2013/11 ... s_look.htmNext up are two more Disney films: "Planes 2," the sequel to "Planes" from last summer, and "Moana," scheduled for 2018. The composer for each is Mark Mancina, Metzger's frequent collaborator.

Ok since they have the score people, we can bet that the "unannounced Disney project" of the Lopezes could be Moana?

Re: Musker & Clements' Moana
Well, with MOANA being on BroadwayWorld.com, I guess it has been confirmed. I read Sotrits's posts a few back, but it's circulating everywhere.

Re: Musker & Clements' Moana
It's circulating everywhere because of that stupid Tumblr post which became viral with almost 80,000 notes. It doesn't mean anything. It's really irritating when fanmade logos/artwork get passed around as official ones. I guess we'll have to put up with that logo until Disney bothers to release the official one. Ugh.disneyprincess11 wrote:I read Sotiris' posts a few back, but it's circulating everywhere.

^^Disney needs to do action quickily then. Can't believe it takes them 5 seconds to delete story/character leaks, but they don't bother doing movie leaks.

Yes, BroadwayWorld is not the most reputable news site on the web. They get most of their articles from "scoops" by members on their message boards, with little to no fact-checking or even regard for spelling errors.disneyprincess11 wrote:Well, with MOANA being on BroadwayWorld.com, I guess it has been confirmed. Re: Musker & Clements' Moana
Regarding the Moana concept art by Sue Nichols:
Source: http://www.bleedingcool.com/2013/10/12/ ... ture-moanaBrendon Connelly wrote:I have removed the image by request. I have been told that it wasn't, in fact, for Moana, though I can certainly tell you appropriate it is to the film.
Source: http://movies.yahoo.com/blogs/movie-new ... 12222.html"My understanding is that the drawing in question is old conceptual artwork that no longer reflects the look they're using in the film," animation expert Charles Solomon of Amazon.com and NPR's FilmWeek told Yahoo Movies. "As the film won't be out until 2018, it will probably undergo further changes. So it has more curiosity value than anything else."

The fact they repeatedly spell the title as Monoa in the article is proof they don't check themselves.UmbrellaFish wrote:Yes, BroadwayWorld is not the most reputable news site on the web. Re: Musker & Clements' Moana
I hope Moana is a musical. Like maybe either Alan Menken or the Lopez couple should do the songs.

Re: Musker & Clements' Moana
I'm sure that it will since most likely, she will be a Disney Princess. It could be Alan Menken, but the Lopez's music for Frozen is a SMASH hit. It also depends if Menken is busy with that ABC TV show or not. I have feeling that the Lopezs will do GIANTS since it'll be the next fairytale despite THAT Menken worked with Greno in TANGLED, and Menken will do MOANA since he's close with Musker and Clements. I don't want Disney Animation to have Menken wait for a long time though.TsWade2 wrote:I hope Moana is a musical. Like maybe either Alan Menken or the Lopez couple should do the songs.
Re: Musker & Clements' Moana
That's fine if the Lopez couple are doing some songs for Giants and Moana.
Re: Musker & Clements' Moana
That Broadway World article posted a few months ago stated:

But they also spelled Moana wrong, so who's to say what's true.Mark Mancina of THE LION KING and TARZAN will be handling the music for MONOA.
