I got my copy from BEST BUY. I got the 3D version with the hologram cover. Does anyone know if I take off the stickers off the hologram, will it mess it up?

"I have some ideas for future films. I believe that fairy tales need to be part of Disney's future, and I want to participate in that. When I think of Pixar and Disney together, they are like a marriage, but still two individual characteristics to each. If I had to boil Pixar films into one phrase, I'd call them "Wouldn't it be cool if" films—like, wouldn't it be cool if toys could talk. And with Disney, it's "Once upon a time." These are films about make believing, but it's a real world you enter into. That's why I believe that fairy tales have to be part of the future."

Perhaps he's staying at Disney after all then.

For someone of such stature, I admire his humility, especially to say that Byron Howard and Nathan Greno brought something to the film that was lacking. For me, Keane is up there with Milt Kahl and Frank Thomas, the best of the Nine Old Men and it would be fitting for him to pass on his legacy to a new generation of Disney animators.
We're not going to Guam, are we?

Disney gets Tangled with Locks of Love
http://www.laughingplace.com/News-ID10041320.asp
In celebration of the DVD/Blu-ray release of TANGLED on March 29, a highly visual charity event in association with The Buzz Girls took place at the Bungalow Salon, a “celebrity favorite” in West Hollywood. The event benefited esteemed charity Locks of Love, which provides hair pieces to financially disadvantaged children suffering from long term medical hair loss. Several celebrity hair-stylists offered up complimentary haircuts to those who wished to donate their hair (or money) to Locks of Love.

A larger-than-life Rapunzel braid hung from a Tangled tower replica, and acted as a “hair-length thermometer”, demonstrating the cumulative length of hair cut in each hour, when combined end to end.

This past weekend, several celebrity hair-stylists offered complimentary haircuts at the Bungalow Salon in West Hollywood, CA to benefit the Locks of Love charity in celebration of the Disney Blu-ray/DVD release of Tangled.

Locks of Love provides hair pieces to financially disadvantaged children suffering from long term medical hair loss in an effort to ‘return a sense of self, confidence and normalcy to children suffering from hair loss.’

Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment has graciously provided us with the following slideshow consisting of photos from the event.

No to be Debbie Downer here, but, that's from a not too recent interview.

But if he stays all the better, they seriously need to give a reason for new animators to go and work with them, and keeping Glen Keane a good way to do so.

Princess and the Frog and Tangled lets start the new golden age!

I'm sorry I'm ignoring the drama, but this movie truly is a modern day classic.

Watched this for the first time today. Amazing! One of the best Disney Animated Films in ages. Honestly loved just about everything about it. The Blu-ray looks fantastic too.

I only took off the Best Buy price sticker, and it was very easy to remove with no residue/harm to the cover.

I lifted the corner of the other sticker (4 disc combo pack sticker), and it seemed to remove just as easy. I did leave it, but I don't see why it wouldn't come off like the price sticker without causing any harm to the cover.

@ DisneyDude2010: thanks for sharing the video! It's obviously aimed at kids and it doesn't really tell a lot about the making of the movie, but it was a fun watch. Who's that blonde woman on the very right at 04:29? Wow, how do her colleagues get any work done with her around?

Mandy Moore was super, super, super, super cute! I didn't know she's this cute. Had not seen her in a long time. The years have certainly done her good. Me is very impressed. <3

I'd agree, but I think we should take a rain-check on classic status for a few years.

My mom really enjoyed this movie (like I thought she would). Both this and TP&TF she's actually asked to watch more than once. I know that sounds weird, but my mom rarely watches movies more than once. :P She's not a professional critic or anything, but I see her as representative of the general public reaction. I use her to gauge what most "average" viewers are probably thinking.

Having watched the movie around 4 times now since I got it on DVD/Blu-Ray, I love Gothel's death scene way more than I remembered. Also like the shot at the "What is it like..." line in Rapunzel’s song. Faintly reminded me of Ariel's "PoTW." And I love Maximus. Dunno, there's a lot of charm in this film (same with TP&TF). I think these two films have really helped Disney's public image. Now if only they would come out with something big...but it doesn't look like anything'll be happening for a while.

Btw, has anybody else watching the full version of "MKB" yet? Although I agree that the movie runs smoother with the middle part cut out--I seriously loved how they did the scene for that. The way she sits up with that "tales of the crypt" smile is awesome. :lol: I also thought it was interesting how they doubled the lantern bit. First, you get the warm lantern scene with "IStL" and then Rapunzel decides to go back with Gothel, who has an eerie, green lantern with her at the time. Just stood out at me. >>;

After watching video. Sorry Mandy. The Black Cauldron was the first Disney movie to use computer animation. But I guess it's understandable since a) It was a brief use of it and b) Disney is so ashamed of the movie.

Cute vid though.

Yeah I was saying same thing at that scene.
