I am totally dissapointed in this; for me, she is just as much Belle as Paige is. Such a random person for them to NOT interview ....

I agree. Paige is lovely, but for me, Susan IS STILL Belle.

I totally agree with you.

Susan Egan should've had appeared on the DVD/Blu-Ray, at least at Broadway Beginnings, since she is the original Broadway Belle.

And another thing, Is this description wrong?
- Broadway Beginnings - Up close and personal celebrity interviews with Nick Jonas, Donny Osmond, Toni Braxton and others who have starred in the Broadway production

I haven't seen Toni Braxton on that bonus feature... Maybe I missed her, but I'm pretty sure she wasn't on the DVD either.

I got the DVD today and after reading Escapay's post, and reading all the bonus features listed on the back of the thing, I'm very pleased. :D

Only pet peeve: how hard is for Disney to get somebody who can draw Belle on-model? I mean, you're at DISNEY'S, remember? Why do all characters on all covers have to be off-model? Granted, it's not as bad as Olivia on the TGMD cover, but still... :P

It's like all the other times Disney said something would be on a DVD, but it didn't show up. Like the second disc for the re-releases of Tarzan, The Emperor's New Groove, and The Aristocats.

In this particular case, I think they intended to interview Toni Braxton for the feature, and she must've been scheduled to (otherwise they wouldn't have mentioned her name), but between the time the press release got out and the time the interviews were being done, she probably couldn't do it anymore. So the press release was still saying she'd be in it (they never issued a new one), while the final featurette would not have her in it.

Still, give me a Susan Egan interview over a Toni Braxton one. Alas, we get neither.

It's a shame they never interviewed Braxton, who triggered the songwriters to insert a new song for Belle - "A Change in Me" - into Act Two. Susan Egan later recorded the song for her debut album "So Far"; so, yes - another disappointment.

What is the deference between the three versions on the Blu Ray menu? I watched the special edition and it had the Human Again song but nothing else new.

Disney seens like it never saw the ending to this cause the beast came with my castle set but no human version of him. I see a beast figure in the BATB figure set on the Disney site but no human version.

Gaston isn't that great he wouldn't stand a chance against the Daleks.

I thought I had read on UD forum that somebody said the colors were better this time. The colors are still as bad as they were on the Platinum. They didn't bother me much, until I got to the ballroom scene. There, it's very obvious they're much too bright. And I don't care if you ridicule me for it or compare me to Marky. It doesn't look like a theatrical cartoon and that's that.

It's great to see a member with some authority (a member that writes on the forum often and seems very serious I mean) say this!:)

It's good to know that not everyone buys into the official version about how the movie is supposed to look like it does on the Diamond Edition. They said the same thing back in 2002 when the Platinum edition was released with even more hidious coloring off course;) I do hope that they will finally get the colors right on a future release...

Well, that should certainly end all debate on this once-contreversial issue forever.

We probably won't get the PERFECT release until Hahn & Company have passed on, and the fanboys invade the studio to play with the film to their heart's content. :P

Thanks for indirectly saying that I am right and have a very good point.

Good points are actually a reason to take a member serious or not. Not the image or what others say about the person.

But you guys are right, it does not look like a theatrical cartoon, and that's that.

I find it amusing that three people (who apparently have authority because they post here a lot, sure  ) agree with each other, and suddenly it's more or less decided that the transfer is wrong.

Anyone can have authority on the internet. Especially at UD.

Care for a Milk Bud, Kubrick? It's easier to sit back and watch these kind of discussions unfold rather than try to enter the mess.

But you don't ramble on and make outrageous claims involving Microsoft Paint whilst insulting the filmmakers' intelligence and anyone who disagree with you. Hence why you're not allowed to talk about the classics on this forum. ;)

Sensible discussion with clear points and good arguments? What kind of poster do you think you are, Wondy? :P

Since authority on certain subjects indeed appears to be handed out at random now, I'm going to give myself some authority on the colors simply because I've been on this forum longer than most of you. That gives me authority. Why? Because I say so.

Anyone else needs some authority for something they're unique at? We're handing out authority people! With free popcorn and milk buds.

Actually, Patrick, I hold the authority when it comes to who gets milk buds and popcorn. Well, I share that authority with Sunny Wing. ;)

Right now, the only ones allowed to have milk buds and popcorn tonight are the ones who reply to this post and say "In Paris, the cafes are many" in the next five minutes.
