No one has ever said that these things aren't still a part of the story. We still don't know why Triton decides to hate music in the first place.Super Aurora wrote:The new plot seems kinda dumb. I wish they stayed with the old concept of invovling Ariel's mom in the sense and how she got killed plus why Triton hates humans.
Much better back-story than music banned ocean......

Actually I don't remember seeing any storyboards, I just checked it out to see what's up with the villain. I sort of agree with Super Aurora, the plot does seem a bit lame compared to what it could/should be. They should give Triton a break though everytime I hear his name it's because he's angry about something. Personally I think Ariels Mom got too close to Humans and they accidentally killed her/hurt her (could explain why Triton hates humans so much?) seems logical IMO.

I'm more disappointed that Sally Field not Ariel's mom anymore. And that she probably not in an active/speaking role anymore, now that Sally is the voice of a villian.singerguy04 wrote:No one has ever said that these things aren't still a part of the story. Re: The Little Mermaid III: Ariel's Beginning
Thanks,Disney Duster
.
Nice title
,but still.
I think that she'll be 15 years (like in the series),maybe it will tell about Ariel's mom (they said that they will talk to her, they just nedded a plot so they used this).

You know, I defended and will still defend sequels/prequels in concept, and I will defend the fact that any movie can have a sequel (even Snow White - gasp!) but...
this just sounds stupit.
Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database

The villain is a witch fish and she cast a spell on Triton.

Sorry, but it still sounds lame. L-A-M-E.
I've seen menus in McDonalds with more imagination.

I think this is a really simplified version of what the plot actually is. There will be more to it. They didnt even mention the villian! So don't give up on this already!
I always remember what Disney Duster said: The reviews and test screenings for this movie were really good! It was so good, they went and delayed it to add more scenes to make it longer. Remember this people!
I remember what I first heard about Cinderella III, I thought it was a horrible concept, but was happily suprised by it! So try to hold out until the second trailer is shown, hopefully around Christmas time.

I'm going to agree with atlanticaunderthesea here. I really doubt that the plot is just that simple. Remember it was for a children's book. None of the childrens books for Cinderella III take you through the emotional roller coaster that Cinderella went through in the movie.
by the way, 2099net you make me laugh a lot!.

I seriously doubt that Marina Del Ray (which, albeit distantly, links this movie to the anime once again) is a witch. To me, she sounds more like a minor antagonist (along the lines of Triton as compared to Ursula in the original). If they wanted a sorceress, they most likely would've just written Ursula into the story considering she's the villainess everyone remembers. She sounds more like a music teacher that Ariel doesn't get along with.People-use your imagination.
