Lost - Season One
Honestly, I thought it was overrated. JJ Abrams definitely created a mind-spinning, character and plot-driven series, but I find it weaker than Alias. (I haven't seen Felicity or Fringe yet, so I can't compare.)
I like it, and I've already started Season Two (which I've heard was better). I didn't feel compelled to keep watching like others have been raving about. My favorite characters were Sun, Boone (...), and Shannon. Claire was nice, too, along with Kate sometimes. Jack was almost unbearable, along with Sayid and Sawyer. Charlie wasn't that great, either. I liked Jin, Michael, Walt, and Danielle, though. I didn't think the "villain" or whatever you want to call it was that intimidating, perhaps because not much was revealed about it. The end of the season was kind of a let down, too. I mean, you already knew other people were living there with the appearence of Danielle, so I don't know...
I guess I would rate it a 7.5/10.

Beverly Hills, 90210 - Season Two
By far better than the first season. Brenda remains my favorite, seconded by a three-way tie between Brandon, Andrea, and Donna. David is okay, too, but Kelly, Steve(sometimes), and Dylan all really annoy me. The fashion, hair, slang, etc. continues to become more ridiculous each week, and with the addition of Emily Valentine, you know things are about to go down. There were break-ups/back-ons, robberies, pregnancy scares, sex issues, deaths, alcoholism, stalkers, U4EA (

Lost - Season Two
Amazingly better than the first season. Three of my favorite characters died this season, one in the beginning, two at the end. My absolute favorite, Sun, stayed alive, but wasn't in the season that much. I hated Mr. Eko, and Desmond and Ben were okay. I loved the Hurley/Libby relationship, and Ana Lucia in general. Kate and Jack didn't annoy me as much, but Sawyer did. Michael, Locke, Walt, and sometimes Jin need to disappear. Claire and Charlie were great, as well as the brief appearence of Shannon. I'm three episodes into Season 3, so we'll see how this season pans out.

Gilmore Girls - Season Five
I think (I can't quite vividly recall the first two seasons that well) that this is my favorite season so far. Luke and Loralei thrived throughout the show (mostly), and Emily and Richard got back together. Rory lost Dean, but gained Logan. Lane and Zach got together, as well as Paris and Doyle. This season was more... dramatic? than the others, but I thought it worked very well. I, however, thought Rory was a complete brat. For four seasons, she was the most reasonable, independant, and intelligent character on the show. She completely messed up her life in the last two episodes, and I was definitely on Loralei's side of the fight. I've heard the last two seasons of this show are pretty bad, but I will definitely be continuing on.

Lost - Season Three
I can't decide whether this season was better than the second or not. I guess it was. Sun was great this season, along with the whole cast, really. No one annoyed me except for Jack, but... duh. I LOVED Juliet and Desmond, and Ben was awesome as well. Alex and Kurt annoyed me, but Danielle was amazing. Locke was bad-ass, as well as Charlie. (

I just realized I never did a final Charmed season review. I finished it like two months ago, so hopefully I still remember everything...

Charmed - Season Eight
A FAR better season than the last... three. This show hasn't been good since Season Four, to be quite honest, but at least this season made an attempt. The addition of Billie was good, until her evil sister showed up and ruined everything. Piper remained my favorite, followed by Paige, and then Phoebe. I'm glad Phoebe and Paige found true love this season, and it seems like it will last. I also loved the many references to our dearly departed Prue in the last episode/series/season finale. She deserved it.

I watched 83 seasons last year, and 1443 episodes total, but I didn't watch any in December, I was watching Christmas movies instead.
However, I've watched several seasons this year (along with 74 movies):
Alien Nation: the Complete Series
Burn Notice Season 1
CSI: New York Seasons 1, 2
Dexter Seasons 1, 2, 3

Lost - Season Four
I failed my quest to finish all five seasons before the Season Six premeire, but I believe I have done quite a good job lol. I plan on watching Season Five this week, and watching the second ep of Season Six next week when it premeires (along with the season six premeire sometime before then.)
Anyway, I can definitely say that this is my favorite season of Lost so far. I have a three-way tie for my favorite current characters: Sun, Desmond, and Juliet. I also loved Charlie and Shannon, but, you know...
I loved Libby's little cameo, and the reappearance of Walt and re-assurance that he is doing well was welcoming. We hardly saw any Rose and Bernard, but I guess the writers wanted to focus on the bigger characters. Hurley and Sayid weren't as annoying this season, but Jack was. I honestly wanted to punch him multiple times. Kate, however, is quickly becoming one of my favorite characters, along with Claire. The introduction of Daniel, Charlotte, and Miles was good, and hopefully the three Freighter characters can evolve more fully next season.
I'm about to start Season Five now! =D [/i]

Finished watching Season Five of Lost at 8:57pm yesterday, just in time for Season Six to begin.
I've been watching the show since the very first episode (and have never missed one) aired in 2004 and have never lost (for lack of a better word) interest. That is exceedingly rare for me.
I rank them this way:
Season 4
Season 5
Season 1
Season 3
Season 2
But really all five seasons are five star winners in my mind.

Did a lot of TV-DVD watching since I last posted! Here are three of the most memorable sets I've watched:

Six Feet Under - Season Three - The third season is definitely uneven in terms of quality compared to the first two seasons. About halfway through, things change back to normal and you are glued to the screen, especially during the last few episodes. Unfortunately, the ending of the season was spoiled for me, but there were still a few things in there that surprised me (mainly things having to do with Claire, that I won't spoil here). It's definitely the weakest season so far, but I heard season 4 is the worst season. I guess we'll find out!

Desperate Housewives - Season One - Whoa. A friend let me borrow the first season, and I really did not plan on enjoying this series but holy cow! After the first episode I was absolutely hooked. Each episode ends with a cliffhanger, so I don't know how on earth people waited a whole week to see the next episode! It was certainly fun getting into the lives of Gabrielle Solis, Bree Van De Kamp, Lynette Scavo, Susan Mayer and Edie Britt. This season's main mystery is "Mary Alice, what did you do?", and let me tell you, it's big! Among all the chaos and comedy on Wisteria Lane, we find out that Mary Alice Young wasn't the only Housewife who had a secret. Definitely recommended!

Desperate Housewives - Season Two - "What is the Applewhite family hiding from the rest of Wisteria Lane?" is this season's great mystery. Many agree that this is the second worst season (with the fifth season being the worst), but I really don't see why this is considered the worst. It's got great storylines, and still had me hooked. I finished this in no time, and I am already halfway through the third season. If you haven't seen this show yet you don't know what you're missing!

Did you buy the season in color (not realizing they had two versions), or did someone else buy it, not knowing that you'd prefer the B&W? Look around at used stores, you might be able to find it in B&W (and possibly ask them if you could swap yours straight out.)PixarFan2006 wrote:Bewitched the Complete First Season - Watched one episode off this last night. It's a classic show, but it was in color and I was kind of annoyed that I had to turn the color down on my tv to see it the way it was intended to be.
The second season is also available both ways, and then the show started being broadcast in color for the 3rd season.
I Dream of Jeannie is the same way, the first season was put on DVD colorized or in B&W. Evidently the complete series has the colorized version (and is in cardboard disc holders) so that is one series I'm just as happy to buy the individual seasons.
