Today, I finally watched "Cars"...

I really enjoyed it!

However, I noticed a terrible mistake at the end...

What happens to Lightning's new paint job, during the last race? What happens to his white tyres??? We see him racing as his old self!!

After the race, when he's with Sally, he has the new paint job, but NOT the white tyres.

I cannot understand it!!

Also watched "Cars" on DVD for about the umpteenth time. This is probably my all-time favorite Pixar movie, behind "Toy Story". Just can't get enough of Lightning, Mater, Fillmore and the bunch. Really can't wait for the official release of this in November.

How'd you get this? I'm assuming this is a pirated copy, because I can't think of another way for you to have gotten this.
If you had read my earlier post, I had written that I had gotten a very good bootleg copy from some guy in the parking lot of one of the movie theaters that I attend. I don't usually support these guys, but since "Cars" is such a good movie and he guaranteed that it was not a "camera-shot" version of the film I picked it up. It looks like a 'film-chain' version with a very good 5.1 soundtrack. I will watch this until my official copy is released November 7th.

I also now watch all my movies on my new Blu-Ray DVD player. The up-conversion of all movies makes them all look like they are Hi-Def. I am glad that I bought it.

Last night I watched Atlantis and Alice in Wonderland for the first time. I really enjoyed Atlantis, and while I thought Alice in Wonderland was good it was kind of boring.

I went to the movies today & saw Cars with my mum. I thought it was going to be babyish, but it wasn't. It was suprisingly funny & we both enjoyed the film.

Real Genius. Whenever I mention this movie, the response always echoes my praise for it...but only when the other person has actually heard of Real Genius. It's a smart, funny '80s gem and it's too bad its popularity never went beyond cult status. I'd double-dip for an upgrade, but a special edition with even a couple of bonus features is unlikely. Still, I've already thought of some lame, unecessary subtitles Columbia-TriStar can slap on a future release:

Popcorn Edition
Ultimate Genius Edition
Smart People On Ice Edition (Cheesy, but I like it.)
Immortal Words of Socrates Edition
Unbelievable Bastard Edition
Argon Matrix Edition
Steam Tunnel Edition
Moral Imperitive Edition (I like this one too.)
Moles N' Trolls Edition

37! In a row? :P

I just re-watched Batman Begins and am still wowed by the sheer comic bookness of it all. I know some people are anti the film, but it completely captures why I read comics. Apart from a little too much exposition from the occasional character (like the train guy at the end), it completely captures the phrase 'dark knight' for me.

I also watched Space Firebird 2772 which I have reviewed here:

My nomination for worst and foulest movie of the year: Clerks II. What a waste of time, and there is absolutely no need for that kind of language to permeate a film. There aren't people who talk like that anywhere I have ever been.

Just watched my copy of Cars again, but this time on my newly purchased Blu-Ray DVD player. The upconversion, even on this bootleg is amazing. Watched Close Encounter of the Third Kind on it last night and was blown away by the clarity of the picture and sound separation. If you haven't watched a movie on a Blu-Ray player find some one who owns one and do so. You will want one in your Home Theater now.

That was the whole point of the movie, though. Didja see the first one?

Yesterday I watched Scary Movie 4, which I thought was stupid, the only ones I liked were the first one and kinda of the second one. Then I watched Cujo. I thought it was pretty stupid too. Not scary at all and the beginning was boring.
