That's because she was on maternity leave.Panfan wrote:Speaking of, I was disappointed that Alyson Hannigan wasn't even in like, three or four episodes. Still, awesome season.

Thankfully, Cobie Smulders' maternity leave occurred during the break between seasons, so she didn't miss an episode!

Roswell - Season One
I actually finished this about a month ago, lol.
It was really good! My favorite characters are Isabel, Michael, and Maria. I also loved Julie Benz's reccurring character, Kathleen Topolsky, though I love Julie Benz in anything. Sheriff Valenti got on my nerves a lot, as well as, surprisingly, the two main characters, Liz and Max. Max was too depressed all of the time, and Liz was too whiny. She seriously reminded me of Joey Potter from Dawson's Creek.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to Season Two!

Just finished Lost Season 2 as part of my Lost marathon celebrating the last season. Overall I still stick by my word that IMO it's Lost's weakest season, with too many narrative delays and dancing around the answers we're eager to receive. Having said that, it does have its moments, and starting with the episode One of Them (2x14) the show really kicks back into high gear. That pace, I feel is kept from that moment on and only really slows down again at mid-season 5. Goes to show how awesome this show is.

Charmed: The Complete Seventh Season
Definitely a return to the early years. This was a fine balance of demon-of-the-week and long-running arcs that blended very well. Piper remained my favorite character, with Phoebe running behind. I like Paige, I do, but I can't get over Rose McGowan's bland acting. I even like her in other projects, but this, no.

(Finally) Finished disc 2 of Zorro: The Complete First Season last night. Three more discs left to go, then I am on to season two
.
Also, not sure if this counts, but I just finished watching Saturday Night Live Christmas. Always great to watch around this time (Though I skipped a few lame sketches.)

Lost Season 3 - Heavily criticized when it premiered, reviews got better after a promised end date for the show and a "creative resurrgence" that happened after the fall haitus. Watching it all in one go now makes me realise how all the criticism was misplaced. Yes, the first episodes are all setup, but they do a hell of a job doing so. People say they're the worst bunch of episodes the show has produced, I beg to differ.
Watching it all now without interruption makes me realise how much thought was put into the stories, from episode 1 all the way to the game-changing finale, that really changed the whole endgame to the show! This season is by far my favorite, for it's amazing build up, the thought out storylines and wonderful character moments that in later seasons are lost because of the need to wrap up the story. This is the one season of a show that, despite all ready have premiered years ago, I still won't spoil to anyone. 9.5/10
Lost Season 4 - As the show put it so nicely when titling the premier episode, it really is the "beginning of the end". The pedal is pressed down to the maximum and the show starts racing towards the finish line. Despite loosing some character time (namely for Sayid, Claire and Desmond) the show shines in quality in filling and starting to answer some of the stories that have been recurring for 3 seasons now. While this season still isn't all answers wrapped up in a neat package, it still gives you a big clue as to where the show is headed and whats in store for our castaways' final moments together. 9/10
Season 5 should arrive tomorrow, can't wait!

Supernatural - Season One
I really liked the beginning of the season, and I really liked the end. The middle was an absolute mess. It was WAY too monster-of-the-week, and I struggled to get through it only because I've heard the first season is the worst. I prefer Sam over Dean, and I loved the Buffy appearences (Julie Benz, Amy Acker, Amber Benson, Mercedes McNab...), and I'm excited to watch the second season!

I just literally couldn't stop watching this show. This season really surprised me viewing it the second time around. This show really benefits from consecutive viewing, as I've noted before, but now more than ever it's noticeable. Characters aren't featured in every episode and the first time around that really irritated me. Now though you can get a much better sense of the big picture and thus are less preoccupied with obsessing over missing characters and/or subplots. I am sure now more than ever that the creators are really going somewhere with this and I cannot wait for February 2nd to arrive!

Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman seasons 1-4
Been re-watching them and really trying to understand it more as the channel the re-runs now air on airs the episodes out of order the skip quite a few and when you haven't seen them in close to 10 years, you get confused and forget some episodes quickly.
Now starting season 5 which I recieved for christmas.

Gilmore Girls: The Complete Fourth Season
I never really had a favorite character for the first three seasons; I just loved them all. In this season, however, I have come to realize that my favorite character is Lorelai. She is so witty, funny, sarcastic, and Lauren Graham is a fantastic actress. Rory is also very heart-warming, and I did NOT expect the twist with her and Dean at the end. Alexis Bledel doesn't seem to have too much of an acting range, but she plays Rory with the exact amount of sarcasm and loveability (I think I did just create that word) as she should have. I also really love Lane, played by Keiko Agena. She was used to being the side-kick-y, hilarious friend, but this season she stepped into her own storyline, with much of her scenes being away from Rory, and focused on the aspect of her and her mother, and Lane's band. Paris was Paris (Meaning, I don't think my opinion of her will ever change... I can tolerate her most of the time, but she's not a favorite), and Emily was great. I didn't like Richard, though, but I usually don't. Sookie reminded me of Alyson Hannigan for some reason this season, and Kirk didn't get on my nerves. Luke was great, too, who I usually feel luke-warm (hehe) about. Dean > Jess, as usual, and the side characters were also great. I hated Jason, though. I can't wait for Season Five, which I've heard is exceptional! P.S. I REALLY want to live in Stars Hallow. =D

Weeds - Season Two
This season was better than the first, in my opinion. Mary Louise Parker is a great actress, though her character Nancy is far from a great mom or person. Andy and Doug were great this season, along with Celia, Heylia, etc. I especially liked Silas and his relationship with his girlfriend and his mom.
Zooey Deschanel was a great addition, if only for three episodes. Kat is psychotic, and I already love her.

This season was a lot darker than the first, but also more comedic too, if that makes sense. I'm very excited for Season Three now!

Supernatural - Season Two
FAR better than Season One. Sam was my favorite in the first season, but I think Dean is now tied, if not higher up than Sam now. This season was more comedic than the first, and it had a longer arc and less stand-a-lones, which I liked. I loved Jo and Ellen and hope to see them in the future, along with Bobby Singer. I ordered Season Three off Amazon and it should be here Monday!
