Tangled Discussion - Part V
I got The Art of Tangled for only $20 brand-new at Border's on Black Friday. Sweet buy! It has a lot of beautiful artwork, although a lot of it was posted online before the film was released. I still don't think the CGI quite captures the character of the *gorgeous* conceptual artwork, but it's good enough.

I am so thrilled the movie has the two nominations ! Being in the UK I havnt seen it yet, but from what I've gathered from you guys, it beyond deserves it.
I dont hold out much hope for a Best Animated win, but I really REALLY hope it gets the nod for 'I See The Light'. That song alone deserves to win; its beautiful.
It would be nice to see Alan actually win again, over being nominated constantly. I mean, I certainly felt Enchanted was robbed blind ! I just want to see a DAC win for songs again

You can find the songs on YouTube if you want to listen to them. Besides "I See the Light", I like Cher's and Carrie's songs but I think Gwyneth's song will win instead since I've noticed a preference to country songs these past few years in these kind of awards. However, I really hope Alan wins!atlanticaunderthesea wrote:I haven't seen any of those movies/heard the songs ..... but do you think that there is a good chance they could beat 'I See The Light' ?

I agree, but I do like the Rapunzel's journal parts and the way their animated. But the game looks SUPER frustrating, considering that computer controled characters seem to have a mind of their own and do whatever they want such as falling off of things (that's why I hate Lego Star Wars.)ajmrowland wrote:frankly, the character animation sucks in the game.
Also, I subbed and that guy posted a bunch of other parts.

I bet I See the Light for best song (IMO, it's an amazing Disney love song, and simply the fact that Alan Menken composed it is just great,) and Toy Story 3 for best animated film (it's far too overrated IMHO, but according to Rotton Tomatoes %99 of critics praised the film, AND it's the highest grossing animated movie ever. I still think it's overrated though...)

I always love it when Zac unabashedly speaks of his love for Disney.Sotiris wrote:<object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/qGFev_eiymY?fs ... ram><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/qGFev_eiymY?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object>

Ugh. I'm torn between I See the Light and There's a Place For Us.... hopefully one of them will win.Tangled wrote:I bet I See the Light for best song (IMO, it's an amazing Disney love song, and simply the fact that Alan Menken composed it is just great,) and Toy Story 3 for best animated film (it's far too overrated IMHO, but according to Rotton Tomatoes %99 of critics praised the film, AND it's the highest grossing animated movie ever. I feel the same. I think "I See the Light" is the better song, but "There's A Place For Us" is better sung. So it depends on what they're going to vote by.SmartAleck25 wrote:Ugh. Unfortunately, I can't compare them to the other songs. I plan to see Burlesque eventually, but I somehow doubt it'll be great music-wise. Could be surprised though.
Anyway, I still have my free ticket for Tangled from the B&tB Daimond Blu-Ray, and I'm going to go see it tomorrow. Hopefully, there won't be any children, but, if there are, I hope they're quiet children.

Listening to most often lately:
Taylor Swift ~ ~ "The Fate of Ophelia"
Taylor Swift ~ "Eldest Daughter"
Taylor Swift ~ "CANCELLED!"

Lol, almost every interview with them about Tangled is the same, lately.rj.disney wrote:I always love it when Zac unabashedly speaks of his love for Disney.Sotiris wrote:<object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/qGFev_eiymY?fs ... ram><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/qGFev_eiymY?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object>
Zachary calls himself a Dis-nerd and Mandy whines about how they didn't get to record together xD
