The first Disney movie I saw at the theater was The Jungle Book animated version. Tried to see Cinderella at the theater in the 1980s but it was sold out and we came back the next day and saw it. The scene in which the stepsisters rip Cindy's pink dress up makes my blood boil and makes me want to take a tommy gun and blow away Tremaine.

Hi everyone, my name is Corey. I just joined the forum about a week ago. I am a 35 yr old male living in a Sacramento suburb in California.
I have been a Disney fan for a very long time. The earliest Disney moment I can remember is when I was around 4-5 yrs old and being taken to Disneyland in Anaheim by my grandma and parents. I've been there almost once a year since and love it.
My first Disney movie I recall seeing is Bambi. I remember this well as the scene where Bambi's mom dies made me cry. My boyfriend had the same experience when he was a kid so Bambi probably sticks in the mind due to that scene. It's one of my favorite classics!
The first movie I saw outside of home was The Rescuers. I saw that at the drive-in (when those still existed).
The funny thing is that I haven't seen the movie since then...it's one of the movies I need to get on DVD!!
My DVD collection just recently started. It currently contains Snow White, Fantasia, Fantasia 2000, Bambi, Alice in Wonderland, Beauty & the Beast, The Lion King, Aladdin, Pocahontas, Sleeping Beauty, and Mulan.
Anyway, I feel lucky to have found this site and hope to talk to you on the forums.

good to see that I'm not the oldest in here
I'm 24 and from Germany. I don't know when I started being interested in Disney. I guess since ever
But as Kid I watched only movies in Theatres or at friends cause we got our first TV when I was 17
Today I'm a fan of Disney's live-action, especially Hilary & Raven
I just don't watch cartoons anymore.
And I hate dubbing....

My Disney story....
Well, I think it was expected before I was born to be a Disney Freak/Nut/Whatever. I'm Smash (or Ash if you prefer) and I'm 19. The first I watched in a theater was Oliver & Company and that pretty much kicked it all off. My dad is a Disney Fanatic and he raised me as one.
I've got Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Lion King, Mulan, 101 Dalmatians, Robin Hood, and both Parent Traps memorized by heart. Pretty pathetic, I must admit.
So I didn't really have a start into Disney...it's just part of who I am

Thanks for sharing your stories, Thorsten and Smash!
And if it hasn't been said yet, "welcome!"
You'll find a lot of "Disney Freaks/Nuts/and Whatevers" here, so you're not alone!
