Re: Disney Plus (Streaming Service)
I wish Disney+ was more readily available on more types of TVs because I'd be watching it a whole lot more if I could see it using the TV in my bedroom and not the one in the main living room.

Re: Disney Plus (Streaming Service)
Apparently, Disney Plus will never again be compatible with Samsung models that are 2016 or older. That's going to hurt Disney Plus' chances of ever being a success, I would think, especially since Samsung is one of the largest electronics companies in the world, if not the largest.

Disney+ is Launching a Fan Community That’s Invitation Only https://www.cordcuttersnews.com/disney- ... tion-only/

Re: Disney Plus (Streaming Service)
I remember back when I was in the university, Google+ did an invitation system, and I was lucky enough to get one. Less than 10 years Google shut it down.blackcauldron85 wrote:Disney+ is Launching a Fan Community That’s Invitation Only https://www.cordcuttersnews.com/disney- ... tion-only/

The idea behind it is not bad, but personally I have come to dislike the whole concept of "invitation only" more and more. It may make you feel as a member of an exclusive club if you're lucky enough to get an invitation, but for all others who might be interested it makes you feel excluded.blackcauldron85 wrote:Disney+ is Launching a Fan Community That’s Invitation Only https://www.cordcuttersnews.com/disney- ... tion-only/

It’s really just a focus group. Which makes it sound less cool than “exclusive, invitation only club.” Disney’s just using these people’s opinions to try and make millions/billions more in revenue and the members of the focus group will receive a $1 Amazon gift card for their services.

A few weeks ago I was emailed about some kind of exclusive Disney group. If it was Disney+ I don't remember (I didn't post anything in this thread in the past few pages about it...), but there was an error, and next thing I know I read that they were all booked up!

We may now have a reason for why "Star Wars: Jedi Temple Challenge" was pulled from Disney+. Series host Ahmed Best (also known as Jar Jar Binks) posted the following on Twitter:

Source:#Jeditemplechallenge THIS WEDNESDAY 6/10/2020 on #starwarskids on youtube NOT DISNEY+. I was asked why is #jeditemplechallenge not on D+. We can reach more kids around the world faster on #YouTube. We want everyone…

I thought this was interesting: A recent email from Disney+, seemingly for people thinking about signing up (or who already do subscribe to) for Quibi-- oh, you don't need Quibi; D+ has shorts, too!

I find it interesting that there would be a special Donald Duck Collection section on the main menu. No doubt because today is Donald's birthday. He certainly has plenty of material to fill this section.

Happy Belated Birthday to Donald Duck! I collected a lot of merchandise for his 85th Anniversary celebration.

The Moon-Spinners was recently added to Disney+ which I'm really happy about. I finally got to see the film and I really liked it! That leaves only two Hayley Mills films left that need to be added, Those Callaways and Summer Magic. Hope they're added soon.

Oh neat, what merchandise did you get? I don't recall seeing a lot of stuff for his anniversary.JeanGreyForever wrote:Happy Belated Birthday to Donald Duck! I collected a lot of merchandise for his 85th Anniversary celebration.
Wait, she's not in Those Callaways. Did you mean In Search of the Castaways? That one is missing on D+.JeanGreyForever wrote:The Moon-Spinners was recently added to Disney+ which I'm really happy about. I finally got to see the film and I really liked it! This may have been answered before, but I was wondering if Aladdin and the King of Thieves is in its original aspect ratio on Disney Plus?

Re: Disney Plus (Streaming Service)
It was mostly available in the Disney Store. I don't think other stores like Target did anything for him like they did with Mickey's 90th Anniversary. I got an interactive plush for him, a special collectible plush (which was heavily marked down on the Disney Store so I ordered it about a week or two ago. Should be arriving in a few days), and a mug. There was a cookie jar that looked like the mug but it was much bigger. I wanted to get it but it was too pricey.Avaitor wrote:Oh neat, what merchandise did you get? You're right, I meant In Search of the Castaways. Those Callaways popped up on my Disney+ screen after The Moon-Spinners so I must have gotten them mixed up. It's weird what live-action films are included and which ones aren't. Another one I really want to see is The Sword and the Rose.

I'm mostly surprised that the parks didn't do much for Donald's anniversary, maybe because they were still riding on Mickey's, and also because 85 isn't as big of a deal as 90. I'm definitely going to wait and see what they do for his 90th, and maybe also Goofy's.
