Wow, that was confusing. The title changed isn't as bad as "Tangled," I guess. I'm guessing the film will be in CG now.

I apologize for my ignorance, but where's your source?

It has been confirmed by various reliable sources: Honor Hunter of the Blue Sky Disney blog, Steve Hulett of the TAG blog, Michael Crawford of the Project City, USA blog, and Brendon Connelly of the website Bleeding Cool.

For direct quotes, check my posts on pages 33, 24, and 22 of this thread.

Even more new artwork for a previous incarnaton of Disney's The Snow Queen. These images were posted on September 12, 2008.

Or Robin Williams as Jack Nicholson as the Goblin. :)

Those are amazing finds, Sotiris! Thank you for posting them!!!

Jack Nicholson was in talks to play Hades but he wanted too much money and half of the Hades merchandise income, so Disney didn't hire him. So I doubt they would have given him what he wanted for "The Snow Queen".

Even though if it's going to be a CG movie, is it going to be a musical like Tangled with Alan Menken?

DisneyDude2010 wrote:So what's happening with KotE then?

I thought the storyboards and testings were on schedule and the film would be released 2013?

I really hope KotE is still in production/development

Does anyone know why the sudden switch?
My guess - and this is really only a guess - is that Snow Queen wasn't having as many story problems as KOTE. KOTE's story has pretty much completely changed since it was last in development, and they simply might be having a harder time getting a handle on it.

Thank you Sotiris for taking the time to find and share those pictures :)

Personally I can't wait to see how Disney does this film since it's always been on of my favourite stories. While I do wish it would be hand drawn, at this point I'm going to be happy so long as they release it at all in a well done manner.
