Now, don't go putting words in my mouth. I never said that all the princesses had unhealthy weights.
I think I was responding more to Marky's comment that suggests they could not make Tiana look 'fuller' than other princesses and therefore the statue looks anorexic.

I think that Ariel and Jasmine are the most thinner ones.

But I don't think that they look anorexic. They look healthy.

Though Jasmine's eyes are too big!
Anorexic girls/boys don't need animated princesses as an example anyway. They just have to look at the thin fashion models at the catwalk. :(

the princesses have always been super thin. All animated females are thin. Not just the Disney ones.

Why are we bringing that up now? If they hadn't made Tiana thin, it would have brought up more controversies. It doesn't matter what Disney does, they simply can't win. She's black, who gives a flying poop?

Ariel is the thinnest Disney princess in her original movie. Megara is the thinnest Disney heroine-who's-not-a-princess. Aurora was the only Walt era heroine who was dangerously thin, and Sleeping Beauty was designed off angles. Snow White has a healthy preteen body, and Cinderella looks like the epitome of health next to Prudence (the latter who I do believe does have an eating disorder and I can cite evidence for this from the sequels, but that's too far off the topic). Prudence's animation is more suited for Tarzan's world, as is. Nothing new, since almost all the Cinderella characters have completely different animation styles.

an online poll like that mostly consist of votes from young males. They're the ones who visit film websites like comingsoon.

Avatar is their favorite to win the winter Box Office crown. One glimpse at the trailer will tell us that's definitely not going to happen. It appeals to a tiny demographic. The Princess and the Frog on the other hand appeals to different demos.

The Avatar trailer doesn't show any character but Aang and basically tells us nothing about the movie. :P

Well, I guess I shoulda thought of that. Avatar does look pretty cool, visually, though.

The Avatar trailer was a major disaster in my opinion. All the big Box Office predictions are simply based on the fact that it's a James Cameron movie. But Titanic appealed to pretty much everyone. vatar does not.

I fear the Chipmunks squeekquel will be the big Box Office hit.

I know that but if you vote it gets the percentage higher and you also give the film more promotion because people will see that there is a real interest in it and maybe look into it more themselves.

The only reason why Ariel looks so thin is because her waist is squished into her mermaid tail... :)

And doesn't she look the same when she is human?

Right. I think the problem is that there hasn't been a "real" or "classic" Disney film in years.

Slightly. I always felt that the bulky green mermaid tail made her waist look even skinnier by comparision.

Actually, Ariel looks healthily slender when human. And even underwater her body is in proportion to her head (the hair works because it's floating). I've actually met girls whose body frames are tiny like Ariel's, that has nothing to do with an eating disorder. That figurine of Tiana--the head is like bigger than the waist and chest combined. Looking at pictures from the movie though, she's not quite that thin. The only princess that looks out-of-proportion in-movie is Jasmine. And that movie is geared towards boys, so that might explain why she's sexualized more than the others.
