Is this an original Fantasia 2000 DVD?
I have compared your scan of disc with my original.
My original has a golden color.
The label you show is exact the same the original has. I cannot compare the colors however. These may differ from my disc.
Your disc belongs to the "The Fantasia anthology : 3-disc collector's edition". This disc is not for individual sale.
The only thing I cannot check is how the print on the disc was been done.
I would say: It is an original disc, if you have got it this in the 3-discset.
It may be that originals could differ. It depends from the factory.

The only copy of Fantasia 2000 I have is the one that was released as soon as it first went onto video and DVD but I say that the copy you're showing us is a definete fake judging by the disc cover art.
Have you actually played this DVD before and can you point out anything suspicious with the DVD content itself like picture/sound quality, menus, .etc.?

Well, it seems to me that the disc is a "Hong Kong Silver." Meaning it's a bootlegged, pressed disc. The "DVD" in Disney DVD is a completely different font, and the back of the disc doesn't have the same numbering system as the Disney ones do. My final nail in the coffin was trying to copy the disc on my computer without any type of program to take off the macrovision protection. Basically, the DVD copied fine to the HD with no problems whatsoever, meaning that there is no region lockout code on the disc.
It's fake. A super-high quality fake, but a fake. I was bound to get burned sometime, I guess. Now to find a legitimate copy. *rolls eyes*

Help, please. Snow White Bootleg?
Hi, I'm new to the forum.
I ran a search about this but all the topics that came up seemed to be very old posts. I didn't want to bump something from 2006.
I have been searching on eBay to find an authentic copy of the Snow White Platinum Edition on DVD. I have come across A LOT of different sellers selling this particular one. It is not a Double-Alpha and it has a slipcover. I know that the authentic Snow White was indeed the only Platinum Edition thus far to not have a slipcover due to it being a Double-Alpha case. All the sellers selling this copy have been highly praised by everyone who has purchased them. They have been sold for ridiculous prices ($50-$70) due to the fact that a slipcover is included. Could these just be an extremely rare authentic release or a VERY good bootleg?

Also, after reading other threads in here about how to spot a bootleg, I'm concerned about a copy of Beauty & The Beast: The Enchanted Christmas that I just received off eBay. I'm going to post some pictures of the DVD when I get home from work and maybe you all can be the judge. Maybe, I'm just being paranoid and it is indeed authentic.
Thanks in advance, I look forward to participating in this forum!

Thanks so much for the replies everyone. It is mind boggling how much people have actually spent on this copy. I'm so glad I never ended up bidding on it!
Here are pictures that I took of the B&TB The Enchanted Christmas that I won from eBay a few weeks ago. Does it look authentic to all of you? Like I said in the OP, reading all the bootleg threads was making me question it:
