^I wonder why to. Infact, that is the reason why I choose the DVDs over the BDs.
The DVD+BOOK edition was scheduled to be released alongside the PE DVD, but was cancelled last minute for unknown reasons. I hope they don't cancel it this time!

I'm quite sure this is different to the + storybook editions as it sells collective book...

I'm starting to get a bit frustrated with BVHE AU (I'm Stubborn) - None of the Pixar Blu-Ray releases are nowhere to be seen in the upcoming titles - I could forgive them passing over Oliver & Company because the set is practically identical but you would think they would make a big deal about the Blu-Ray premieres and announce them soon!

It looks as if we won't get getting that specky box tho... which is very disappointing.

As if it's not bad enough that the special book edition is like 8 months behind the UK now it's coming in massively inferior packaging! Why even bother at all? The UK one is gorgeous this one looks awful!

Looks like we don't have to deal with the Blu-Ray combo pack in a DVD case or the delayed DVD (though that never concerned me because I'm only going to double dip to move to the new format).

But come on WDSHEAU... Monsters Inc & A Bugs Life please! (oh, and kill the Walt Disney "Collection". Makes my DVD shelf look uneven)

They are releasing X-Men Vol. 3 and 4 in Australia?! Really? Did they already?

No, they later changed to:
Marvel: X-Men Vol.1 Disc 1
Marvel: X-Men Vol.1 Disc 2
Marvel: X-Men Vol.2 Disc 1
Marvel: X-Men Vol.2 Disc 2

In other words, we are been ripped off, with the local releases.

not really, since each disc costs like, $13. A whole season would be $26 which is pretty cheap/decent for australia's standards.

Pretty light month, thankfully. The wallet has taken a beating the last few months in terms of releases. Of course, October sees the Snow White madness so it is all relative...

Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment added more September 2009 releases:

23rd September 2009
Marvel: X-Men Vol.3 (Disc 1)
Marvel: X-Men Vol.3 (Disc 2)
Marvel: X-Men Vol.4 (Disc 1)
Marvel: X-Men Vol.4 (Disc 2)
Marvel: X-Men Vol.5 (Disc 1)
Marvel: X-Men Vol.5 (Disc 2)

I would be surprised if Marvel: X-Men Vol.5 isn't delayed, since there is currently no release date set in the USA.

Once again, we are been ripped off by the local DVD releases of X-Men series been split into single discs.

Interesting that unlike the States we'll be getting the standard Snow White on the same day as the Blu-Ray. I guess they didn't think such a tactic would work too well over here.

Nor would the "DVD + 2 Disk BD in DVD Packaging" tactic go down very well with retailers. In my experience, BVHE AU serves retailers in this order: Target, K-Mart, Big W, Woolworths, Coles, then reluctantly everybody else.

I had to go to the Target at Westfield Miranda (via Westfield Hornsby, Chatswood, Bondi Junction, Hurstville, Parramatta, Macquarie Center, Castle Towers and Wahringah Mall over a period of few weeks) to find Ducktales: Treasure of the Lost Lamp that I should have been able to get a semi-decent retailer to order in for me.

I shudder to think what the classification logo is going to do to the poor prince.
