Scaps, I am willing to pay you good money so you can tell me all these juicy UD stories. They sound better than your typical soap ;) .

rotfl Oh my gosh!

I'm laughing, yet I'm not sure what I'm laughing about. I'm assuming the the comment became infamous because no normal person would fly somewhere else just to buy a DVD, would they?

Of course, the behaviour of this individual as you described it in your entire post, does not come off as entirely normal ... or orthodox (sounds less provocative). I wonder if he could have been suffering from some condition, like danfrandes (who was autistic, I think?). On the other hand, danfrandes was just a little annoying and ... abstract. He certainly never entered such states of cybereccentricism. :P

One more thing. Wasn't the WIST/WTF series born more or less when I joined back in March 2006? If so, shouldn't I remember this Alan?

Is he the Alan with the black and white avatar of what looks like a man's face hugging (what looks like) a door? If so, then he returns every now and then to UD, no?

:( Not here we don't. I've yet to personally get to look at snow and feel it in my hand. One day maybe ...

And Joe, don't you look a little short in that pic? Or is it the framing?

Though I wasn't here when he/she posted, I've heard MANY stories about Tangela, which are played out in TV's The United States of Tara.

It must be the framing. :p I'm around the 5'8" or 5'9" mark, so not very short in my opinion. Anything from the knee downwards wasn't photographed, so that must be it. :P

Aww, Nick! I feel special! <3

Julian, Rachael's cool. You should accept her offer. And then Nick and I and you and Rach can play chicken together...

Yeah, idk.

Haha, we could have races! Think of the possibilities!? It could be the Europeans versus the Americans.

I wish guys didn't get all hung up about their height. I mean, most guys are tall to me :p but I've dated really tall guys and guys who, to me, were tall but not so much compared to others...I mean, it doesn't matter what your height. It's what's inside that counts. So beyond cliche, but it's true...I mean, I guess I can't relate to the insecurity of being a short guy, since girls don't have the same stigma, but still...you shouldn't worry about it! :)
