EDIT
Triton looks like as small as he is in this picture

EDIT AGAIN
It's sad when Floatsam and Jetsom get better represented on the cover over Triton

That cover is perfect!!!Lnds500 wrote:![]()
What is the point of being on-model off-model anyway?SWillie! wrote:See, that's just so ridiculous that it's come to the point where a successful cover is when the character is sort of okay - not on model, but okay. That's sad.Sicoe6256 wrote:Excellent! They fixed Ariel's face. Although she is not on model, she looks way better than in the first version. I love it!!!
I would really beg to differ there. Sure, there is a noticeable difference in the quality of Glen Keane's animation of her and other animation, but she is pretty consistently on model for the whole film. Granted, the drawing of her here really isn't that awful - but it's certainly not as good a drawing as it could be. Compare this to any of Glen's drawings and it's an embarrassment. What I really don't like is that overly-rendered, clip artish style of painting they always use. Why don't they just keep it simple - like the art from the film itself?GreatGreg wrote:What is the point of being on-model off-model anyway?
Within the movie itself, she is on-model and off-model much worse than this cover (which I think looks fantastic!).
I think it's meant to symbolize the " Under the Sea " scene a little, hence Seb's looking like he's singing and dancing.REINIER wrote:Sebastian is liking the view and jumps with joy
While I wouldn't say this is a masterpiece by any means, it's nowhere near as awful as the B&tB Diamond cover.Professor Ratigan wrote:I don't think we've had a cover this fucking atrocious since Beauty and the Beast's Diamond Edition.
Oh, I didn't say it was AS bad as Beauty and the Beast's cover. I just said I think it's the worst since that one. (For a non-2 movie collection release, anyway.)While I wouldn't say this is a masterpiece by any means, it's nowhere near as awful as the B&tB Diamond cover.
None of the North American Blu-ray releases have used recycled art. This should not be any different.ProfessorRatigan wrote:Oh, I didn't say it was AS bad as Beauty and the Beast's cover. I really thought were going to get this as the 3-Disc art: http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb2 ... ermaid.jpg
-If they had, I wouldn't be complaining about the two-disc version's tacky art.
