In closeups, Aurora was intended to have standard Blue eyes with black pupils. In long shots, she was given black eyes. For the DPET DVD, Aurora got eye highlights (tiny white reflections).
Wrt "Princess" classification, I'd consider the following (fixed per SuperAurora comment):
Traditional Princesses:
Aurora, Cinderella, Snow White
Action Princesses:
Jasmine, Ariel, Mulan, Belle, Kira
Action heroines, or (for feminists) Action Heros:
Pocahontas, Esmeralda, Megara, Tinkerbell
I've probably missed a few but hopefully this makes sense. BTW, Cinderella moved towards Action Princess in Cinderella III.

Why is Mulan in two cataglories?kurtadisneyite wrote:In closeups, Aurora was intended to have standard Blue eyes with black pupils. In long shots, she was given black eyes. For the DPET DVD, Aurora got eye highlights (tiny white reflections).

Mulan isn't a princess. Merchandise just places her with the princess products.
Would it KILL Mattel to make dolls of the three princesses from Mulan II?! They have a huge fanbase among certain Disney fans, and I would absolutely love to own a Ting-Ting doll. I would absolutely love to own a freaking T-SHIRT with all three of the girls on it. >:{

The Disney Archive center info suggested Mulan is a type of princess, so (inspired by Super Aurora's comment of my double entry goof) I fixed my earlier "suggestion" and put her in with "Action Princesses".
I gave Tink a "heroine"/"hero" classification as she does take an active role in Peter Pan. We'll know what works better once her feature comes out.
Just my attempt at "classifying" these ladies.....
Disney Merchandising and others here will have completely different ideas!

I loved this DVD. Okay, Aurora's story wasn't the best, but Jasmine's more than made up for it. I can't wait for more. The fact that they show all the princesses on the banners going into the castle gives me hope that they'll all recieve at least one story (although 2 would make more sense - that way, they would have enough stories to format it for TV). I'm REALLY hoping that since we know that both the Cindy/Mulan DVD and the Aurora/Belle one are still both advertised as "coming soon" that we can maybe have two volumes each year? It can't have taken them two years just to make the first volume, they may have just been waiting until they had enough to keep them coming steadily.

Well, I never considered Tinker Bell to be the female protagonist in Peter Pan. I always considered Wendy to fill that role since, in a way, the story centers around her (though that aspect's much more obvious in the book and other versions of the story). Tinker Bell, to me, has always been a sidekick, even if she advances the plot more than most sidekicks do.slave2moonlight wrote:She saved Peter's life and almost lost her own doing it.PeterPanfan wrote:I don't think Tinkerbell should be considered a "heroine"...
I really loved this DVD! I did like Jasmine's story better than Aurora's. I liked Aurora's story, don't get me wrong, but Jasmine's made the DVD flow a lot better.
My favorite song on the DVD is Jasmine's "I've Got My Eyes On You"
WHAT an awesome song! I love the beat to it. One thing I didn't like though is that Jasmines sings "This I swear is true" It would have been more appropriate for her to sing "This I promise is true" but that is just a little pet peeve of mine lol.
In all this DVD was really great!

I uploaded the preview featuring Cinderella and Mulan. It's not the best video but it's something. I'll upload a better version later in the week.

Oh and I ask before but you didn't answer it: If Cindy and Mulan one comes in 2008, what about Belle and Aurora?

Disny Princess Enchanted Tales
Oh, thank you, Disney Villain! The backgrounds for Cinderella's story look extremely close to the quality we got for Cinderella III, but not in her animation, which actually appeases me, because it shows even more how they worked their butts off for Cinderella III. But it looks like it's another story about a princess preparing something for the men, like Prince Phillip's birthday. *sigh* Why are we only teaching little girls to plan things for their boyfriends and pick flowers? Maybe we should have a story about Cinderella negotiating with some foreign king to prevent war! The lesson could be that you never solve things with violence or you can always talk things out. Haha! But it might also be funny to see her training the birds and mice to attack...Ooh! Mini-war with Lucifer! Remember the forks, knives, and burning candles?

Thanks so much. Could you please upload Belle's music video as well?Disney Villain wrote:I uploaded the preview featuring Cinderella and Mulan. It's not the best video but it's something. I'll upload a better version later in the week.

Thanks for posting the trailer, Disney Villain. Cinderella looks pretty on-model in the few shots we see of her, though it's hard to really tell. I don't understand two things, though. 1) Why is she blonde? You'd think after getting her hair color right in Cinderella III, they'd remember that she's strawberry blonde. Then again, it could just be the video quality. 2) She's in her rags again for a split second, which makes absolutely no sense. I fear this will end up becoming the lost Cinderella II segment, only with better animation.

You guys are all very Welcome!!!
Super Aurora I have no clue when the Belle story and other Aurora story will be debuting on DVD. There has to be a good reason as to why they were bumped from the first release without any notice, even after trailers and previews promoting "Kingdom Of Kindness". I also find it odd that Paige was originally advertised as doing Belle's voice work, and now it seems as if she’s been replaced. There is definitely something strange going on.
I honestly feel that there will be at least 3 Enchanted Tales volumes a year. I also think that each princess will receive two stories (we already know this is a fact regarding Princess Aurora)
Disney Duster I completely agree with you. These princesses throw way to many parties for their men. Your Cinderella idea would be perfect. I'm surprised Disney hasn’t done a story like that yet, especially since their trying to modernize their biggest cash cow.
sotiris2006 you can view the Belle music video here:

The Belle segment is at the end of the video.

I HATE how Cindy is Blonde. You have no idea how that bothers me! Whenever I walk through a store and see Blonde Cinderella merchandise I have to comment.Disneykid wrote:Thanks for posting the trailer, Disney Villain. I think it is the video quality though, because when I watched the trailer on my T.V. I never yelled at the screen shouting "She's not Blonde!"
This probably was a segment they wrote for Cinderella II, but discarded.
