Oh,did she? she can get Millions of stories in deleteds Atlantis shows but she'll never get to be a Disney Princess,if she will-i"ll kill.
Who said he's tired of Kida bashing? and if i wanna bash Kida i can, like Escapay bash Ariel or you bash TinkerBell so i wanna bash Kida,it's fun.
I have mentioned once or twice that I dislike Tinkerbell. There is certainly a -difference- between stating ones' preferences and going your route. It's not like I'm saying, "I hate Tinkerbell SO MUCH! She is the UGLIEST character ever invented! I am going to KILL the AWFUL producers of the AWFUL Disney Fairies movie! How DARE they make any more tales about such an UGLY pixie?!"

I -don't- think Tinkerbell is ugly at all. I simply dislike that she is overly advertised, especially since she truly wasn't much of a heroine. She tried to kill Wendy out of sheer jealousy. Not exactly my definition of behavior worth emulating. Regardless, I have no qualms with the Disney Fairies line. It isn't Tink centric, and if it was, I would just ignore it.

Kidagakash doesn't have very much merchandise at all, in case you've been living under a rock. Furthermore, no one enjoys reading about how "ugly" you think Milo and Kida are. "Milo and Kida are both monkeys so they are perfect for each other" is getting old! Had you said that line only once and said it in good taste, it might have gotten a chuckle from some. Unfortunately, you're going about this all wrong. Leave off the complete character bashing. It shouldn't bother anyone who you like and dislike. Your reactions are bothersome. As I said before, there is a difference between stating preferences and annoying all who will listen with your immature hatred because "it's fun."

Agreed. In fact I find Kida to be the coolest looking princess/queen(yes she really is one whether you want to believe it or not).

Atlantis as a Kingdom is 10 tems cooler than typical european ones.

She is a princess, and does become a queen. She just isn't considered one of Disney's "main six" princesses.

Does Milo become Atlantis' king, then? =/

Aside from giving her the nickname "Tiny Fishgirl"*, I don't bash Ariel. I criticize her and make comical and contructive points about how I dislike her movie and character, but I don't outright bash her.

Scaps

*like how I call Snow White 'The Shrill" or simply shorten Cinderella to "Cindy". It's my term of endearment for the characters.

I do!!! I do!!!! I love them! I mean they're so beautiful and so much more interesting than some other princesses....I simply adore them! And I think Kida is just fantastic, she really stands out. I mean who else from the Disney princesses has white long hair, a mostly revealing outfit and a tatoo on her face? Megara is also very sexy and headstrong and I simply LOVE the hair. And the song of course.
Now it's true that these heroines are not truly in the Disney Princess line BUT!
1)Meg's song was featured in a Disney Princess CD.
2)There was a Meg doll with the Disney Princess logo on the box.
3)Esmeralda had a story in the book "Once Upon a Princess- Volume One" and it had the official Disney Princess logo on it!
4)Esmeralda had several stories in the Disney Princess magazine.
5)Jane had a story in the Disney Princess magazine.
6)Kida had a story in the book "Happily Ever After Stories" which also had the official "Disney Princess" logo on it!
7)Kida no matter what, is a Disney product and she's the princess of Atlantis so I can call her a Disney princess if I want! :P
8)Megara in the Greek mythology was a princess, so since Disney doesn't say sthing about her roots we can asume that she's a princess! :D

If anyone knows more facts about those four being included in Disney princess products, please add!

The second is this really ugly hikingish outfit. It has a grown skirt with a white collared blouse. There is also a dull colored green sash thing that's kinda made up like a bow tie around her neck. I'm probably making this soundd worse than it is but seriously try to imagine Cindy as a park ranger without the hat and there you go!

Mulan seems to be wearing her typical casual-wear.
About Cinderella-
That dresss is like her green dress in Cinderella II?.
about Mulan-she has 3 dresses-
the pink one (she went to the matchmaker with that).
the green one (her work outfit).
the blue one (she fought Shan Yo with it).

I did. I thought it was a bit better than the UD review made it out to be. I mean, it's better than a lot of direct to video stuff in terms of the art quality, though it's not on the level of stuff like Cinderella 3, Bambi 2, or the other pretty good ones. I thought the backgrounds were pretty good. The stories were okay for what they were. It was very much aimed at kids, that's the whole issue with it. I mean, littler kids than, say, the Aladdin TV series, which I think works for any age really (as the movie definitely does). There are so many people who don't understand that. I wrote a fairly thorough review about the DVD for Amazon.com, and some lady is trying to get it removed because I mentioned Jasmine's bath scene in passing, ha. I truly only slightly mentioned it approvingly and only half seriously, then someone said it was creepy to do so and I replied that Jasmine and Aurora were hotties, ha. A woman who had complained about my review before chimed in and was utterly disgusted, and she said she had reported my review as inappropriate. These were real geniuses too. The one who reported me had first posted a negative comment about my review being too long and that "of course it's for children," like all Disney fans have to be little kids. You know, that mentality that there's something really wrong with you if you're an adult who watches cartoons. I'm so ticked about all that really. I mean, I'll be really mad if these two idiots get my review taken down because they couldn't handle a crack about Jasmine's bath. Oh well. Anyway, this is my review Page, check out the comments to read the whole ridiculous thing for yourself: http://www.amazon.com/gp/cdp/member-rev ... centReview

Anyway, as I had said, it's not all that bad and I look forward to more installments, though I wish they weren't about teaching some lesson of the day and were just new stories like they had in the old Disney TV shows that any age person can really appreciate. I think the art/animation quality is adequate for a non-feature. I mean, it's better than any Disney TV shows I can recall.

Disney Princess Enchanted Tales

Post by Disney Duster »

I really doubt I'll be getting this DVD, unless it's still out while I have lots of moolah. I would only get a DVD with a princess I like, and there somehow has to be magic inolved. This is perfect what with Aurora being my second favorite princess and getting to use a wand, but with the uncharacteristic voice, rip-off of Rule Britannia, and the animation that doesn't always look like her that I've seen, I don't know. I don't even know if I'll get Cinderella's tale, unless I get to see some good art. I'm sure the castle will look beautiful and like it did in the original, just like the other stories' locations have so far.
slave2moonlight wrote:and one Jasmine bath scene, ha.
Wow. Some woman got all worked up over that, calling it creepy. I guess she figured that if you're some father reviewing his child's DVD, you wouldn't say that. I actually have read reviews where fathers do talk about the hotness of characters, even moms who talk about if the girls are pretty enough for their child...

But then it escalated when you said Auroa' scene would have been hotter, and I guess it just had her thinking that the DVD, which really is aimed at little kids, is not meant for your mind so you shouldn't think like an adult if you watch it. ?! I know you said that Walt's dream was that every family can enjoy all of his work, but I think that just may have been his movies and television programs. I don't even know if Walt Disney thought many adults appreciated his cartoon shorts! But since they were sometimes shown before live-action films in theaters, I would guess so. But this DVD clearly is aimed at little kids...except when that one trailer changed "little girls" to "everyone" who loves the Disney princesses. I don't know what to say, because I can see where the woman's coming from and where you're coming from. I would have to say you are in the right, because you aren't forcing kids to read your review and think sexually about very good-looking women. Adults are going to review products for their children, and they would think like adults even when they watch it, so what's wrong with making the joke? I would have just not continued with saying Aurora's scene would have been hotter.

And I wrote a whole lot about that. Well, uh, I personally think it's nice that people can get different things out of the same thing. Pleasing, colorful visuals and calm, high voices for the kiddies, and attractive girls set in moving, detailed art for others.

I haven’t posted here in a very long time. As everyone here probably knows I have stayed on top of the Enchanted Tales series since it was first announced (I even started this thread!). I did watch it and I wasn’t disappointed at all. It was exactly what I was expecting. That was a half hour T.V. Style episode with somewhat bad animation, and crummy themes. That's what I was expecting from day one. I never expected a lavish release on par with Cinderella III: A Twist in Time. I bought 3 copies and I have no regrets. I've been waiting to see more Aurora for years. What I LOVE about the series is that Disney made an attempt. They actually put effort into something, their most popular franchise. I hope Disney continues this for many more years to come, and they also make similar films with other franchises. It's allot better than having the two Aurora segments meshed together and called Sleeping Beauty II: Follow Your Dreams in a Kingdom of Kindness.

It was very weird to hear Aurora speak. I’ve watched Sleeping Beauty countless times and know the movie inside and out. Aurora is my favorite Disney character. I was so excited to see more of her. I actually had no problem with Aurora's speaking voice. It was here singing voice that bothered me. They totally disregarded the Opera fact and that was wrong! My little cousins were so confused when they heard her sing "Keys to the Kingdom". Wait until next year when the Platinum comes out and millions see Sleeping Beauty again. It was very wrong of Disney, especially when they have Kim Huber, Leslie French (my favorite Aurora singing voice since Mary Costa) who provide the voices for Aurora on the Princess CD's. The other voices didn’t bother me, they were all close matches to the original.

I will post my thoughts on the songs, Aurora's story, and Jasmine's story later.

I always buy more than one, when it's a title that is close to my heart. I have been counting down the days untill Enchanted Tales for two years. For me it's like getting that Platinum Edition i'm missing from my collection.

Princess Aurora is my favorite Disney character, and the film Sleeping Beauty holds a special place in my heart. If you understood how much I Love Aurora or how much a fictional character like her means to me then you'd know why I bought 3 copies. I also have 3 copies of Cinderella III, and Sleeping Beauty SE (Cinderella also holds a special place in my heart). I keep one DVD in it's wrapping, one I watch and handle..people can borrow it, and one as a backup that no one but me handles.

I bought a new laptop with a blu ray player, and a blu ray player just to watch Sleeping Beauty when it comes out on Blu Ray next year. My mom refused to pay for it...I've been saving up my money, and with High School Graduation money, and Going off to College Party money/Birthday money I was able to purshace them. Some say it's psychotic, I say it's an obsession. I have the "Princess Aurora Disease" and I don't want a cure  .

hey Disney Villian, You think you can upload the trailer of the Mulan/Cinderella that was on the DVD to your website?

After reading your website, You said that Kingdom of Kindness is coming out in 2008. If that's the case then what about the cinderella/mulan one? Bit confuse here.

Sure. I was going to do it anyway. I'm not home at the moment but give me untill tomorrow night. I won't be home untill tomorrow afternoon, then I have to rip the video, enhance it, and clean the sound.

Ha, well, I mainly said that because they were aggrivating me with their stupid comments. It was all so ridiculous that I got feisty. I know not everything Walt did was for the whole family, like the educational stuff (like this really is), but these seemed like the type of folks who feel adults watching cartoons for their own enjoyment is sick, whether they think the girls are hot or not. That's why I mentioned that most Disney stuff used to be meant for all ages. But, while this one is clearly targeted at kids, there are going to be lots of Disney fans who buy it for themselves because they love the characters so much, so I just wanted them to know what to expect. I feel like that's the point of a review, but apparently that lady did not, as her first complaint was that my review had too much information.

Ok, saw some of this show for the first time from the DVD. Not bad...quality is high end TV, nice colors, feature matching backgrounds (if a bit simpler), character stylings vary a bit depending on the animator, animation styling is similar to most overseas studios and while generally good lacks the fine personality tuning the best American, Europe and Japanese studios offer. I had the sound off - was concentrating on visuals this time around.

The introduction to Auroras' tale had me thinking "What the heck? Did Maleficient zap her to move at double speed? " She was jumping and gesturing as if she had to race through her intro. The animation became more "Aurora like" once we got into the story itself.

As for the pages' underware "gag", ok, sort of cute throwaway, though continuity was a little strange in that King Stephen and wife weren't looking in his direction after he had exited.

This Princess disk was animated by TOON CITY ANIMATION, a Philippines based studio that has done many productions for Disney, MGM, and others.
They use the latest Digital software, and their background artists are well renowned (very fast), but their quality sometimes varies, and it looks like Aurora's tale got the short end of the stick this time around.

wikipedia.org has the list of productions for this company - quite a long list, actually.

strangely..malaysia doesnt support blu-ray.at least in the video market.most sellers only import hd-dvd from europe. with the price of a dvd title. at least the shop i frequented sells blu-ray 10 bucks more expensive than dvd. :(
