The disaster in Japan is really heartbreaking, I hope the casualties will be lower than expected and that the country will make a speedy recovery. I am deeply moved by this horrible event, and it was not my intention to make you guys think that I believe that Tangled's box office is more important that the security and wellbeeing of the Japanese people. As I did say, I wanted to help the Japanese and have therefore donated money to the Red Cross.

But since I am a Disney-fan, and also very interested in how film's perform at the box office (worldwide, domestic & international), I was hoping for a glorious run for Tangled in Japan, I think the movie deserve all the success it can get. That is not to say that I am not thinking about Japan and all the people affected by this tragic events, it was just the moviegeek/Disney-fan in me talking.
Favorite Disney-movies: Snow White, Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland, Sleeping Beauty, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Hercules, Mulan, Tarzan, Tangled, Frozen, Pirates, Enchanted, Prince of Persia, Tron, Oz The Great and Powerful

They have, actually.
Scheduled Japan openings for a pair of animation titles -- Disney's Tangled and DreamWorks Animation's Megamind in 3D from Paramount -- were in limbo. Both were anticipating lucrative payoffs in Japan's animation-crazed market, timed to March school holidays.

Guess they changed their minds about that one:

Disney’s “Tangled” opens to only $1.6 million in Japan amidst “ongoing tragic conditions.”

DreamWorks Animation Sets Lineup Through 2014

I understand that this site has nothing about Disney's, "Rapunzel (Tangled)," but just thought I share this for you.

They should've withheld it. Very poor timing I know, but Japan should be allowed some time to rebuild before seeing such a good movie.

Maybe Disney felt Japan needed a bit of escapism to help recover. After all, one of Hollywood's most successful periods was during the Great Depression, mainly for that reason.

Kent is so insanely brilliant.

I love how disproportionate she really is. And unlike some princesses, she actually has normal size boobs

Wish these would come out in WDCC form.

Not really. You're not the only one. Enigmawing has already made a beautiful drawing of a sensual Rapunzel. It's really nice (the artwork).

I just keep thinking her waist is about to break.
