Theforce.net is pointing to Kevin Smith's website today. He has reviewed Revenge of the Sith saying that its "f***ing awesome" and "a thousand times darker than Empire Strikes Back." That's good enough for me (although I knew it was going to be awesome anyway!) That's all I read of the review as it does say it contains many spoilers.

Very cool that you had that opportunity, Maerj!
I have a pretty cool SW opportunity of my own! I just got tickets for opening day at the Leicester Theatre in London's Piccadilly Circus, which is where I'll be seeing it if I get to go to London this summer (and if not, I'm only out $8 ). From what I understand, this is one of the best cinemas in Europe, or at least the UK, and it's also where the film's UK Grand Premier will be!

Soundtrack!
I have just got done listening to the soundtrack... WOW! True fans, bring a tissue 'cause this one's pretty darn good! I haven't read any of the names of the tracks in an effort to remain as spoiler free as possible, but I figured that listening to the music couldn't hurt.
There are quite a few fast paced tracks here which leads me to believe those will be underscoring some big action scenes. (oooh big action scenes!) There are a couple of quieter tracks, somewhat strange sounding music. I find those tracks difficult to describe but the Dark Side seems to be there, in the background, just waiting for the right moment to reveal itself. Lots of Vader-esque themes which of course would make sense. One of the longest tracks on this disc seems to be the last one, Track 15 at around 13 minutes. There are a lot of references in this one from the other films, I'm not sure if this is a medley or not. I don't want to know at this point. It is very heroic and triumphant. I am listening to this one again!
This is a very lively soundtrack. It bounces merrily from one track to the next. At one moment calm, the next sinister. There are a couple of tracks that use the choir again as well, which will punch up the amazing images we see on the screen even more. That's what a great soundtrack does anyway and Williams is the master.
One last lil bit...theforce.net is reporting that Speilberg gave his opinion on Revenge of the Sith:
"I saw it about a week ago, and it's absolutely amazing it's the best of the last 3 episodes, it's the best way you could possibly imagine for George to finish it off, it has a tremendous ending it's very dark you'll cry at the end, it's wonderful."
Between that and the Kevin Smith comments, that's all the reviews I need! 15 days and 4 hours to go!

Thanks for reminding me, I have to go buy this!Maerj wrote:Just another note about the soundtrack. It comes with a DVD that has music from each of the 6 films, introduced by Ian McDiarmid. Its pretty cool, although I did skip the Episode III chapter, to avoid them there spoilers, if there were any.

And the PG-13 rating won't stop kids from watching it either!

Well I had tickets to see the premier at the Lycester Theatre in London (site of the UK world premiere), but now I don't think I'll be able to go, and wouldn't you know that my hometown for some unknown reason isn't even getting Star Wars opening week (NONE of the theaters are)? That's never happened before. So the search for opening night tickets begins.

Not to spoil your fun, but I have no idea what everyone is talking about.
I'n not a fan of the Sith.
It's interesting that the movie is rated PG-13 for sci-fi action violence.
