1. The Incredibles
2. Finding Nemo
3. Monsters, Inc.
4. Toy Story 2 & Toy Story
5. A Bug's Life
Finally saw A Bug's Life and it's the least favourite. Nature just isn't like that and ants aren't purple. Ants have more than 2 legs as they don't look like humans. I liked the part when the ants put on that show for the circus bugs though.

That's not really a good reason for not liking A Bug's Life. How about Toy Story? Toys don't come to life and talk.Nala wrote:Finally saw A Bug's Life and it's the least favourite. Nature just isn't like that and ants aren't purple. Ants have more than 2 legs as they don't look like humans.

I liked both Toy Story and The Incredibles is my favourite of Pixar. The purple color of the ants was troubling.Dan05 wrote:That's not really a good reason for not liking A Bug's Life. I don't hate A Bug's Life. It's my least favourite Pixar movie. I'm gonna have to watch it again. I rented it. I might like it better the second time I watch it. I rented the movie from Rogers Video.Dan05 wrote:That's not really a good reason for not liking A Bug's Life. How about Toy Story? Actually, for the most part, Bug's Life was pretty true to ants.
They have a queen. The whole part where the leaf fell in front of the ant, reminded me that ants smell with their feet. So when obstacles suddenly block them, they have to figure out how to get around or over it. Not sure if that is what Pixar was getting it, but that's what it reminded me of.
Birds are one of their biggest enemies as well.
But yeah, so what if they aren't really purple?
Toys don't really come alive
There aren't any real monsters
Toilets and sinks don't connect straight to the ocean (god help our seas if they did)
And there aren't any people with super human powers.
Bugs Life is my least favorite of Pixar, simply because I didn't like the story, comedy, and voices as much as the others. Not liking Bug's Life because it wasn't a realistic depiction of ants is like not liking Jaws because they used a mechanical shark. Its not like Pixar made the movie as a documentary. It was a cute family movie made to make people laugh.

1.) Incredibles - I am a comic book geek in some ways. So having a superhero picture was great in itself. It also reminded me of old school, without the really cheezy dialoge. Too much is politically correct when it comes to comic book/family films. For instance, the the Batman:TAS, there are scenes were you know it is humanly impossible for someone to survive an explosion, yet somehow both the bad guys and the innocent people come out of it with a few soot marks, but overall, okay. That annoys me. But in The Incredibles, you don't see that. An explosion happened and you didn't see the guy crawl away from it. You never saw him again. It was more realistic when it came to that, IMO. Edna was a fabulous character. Who the villian was was predictable, but he was still a fun villian. I really enjoyed the whole scene when Bob was trapped and listening to his wife on the plane. The explosion, his reaction. But Mirage's reaction was great. I really liked the character of Mirage. She came through in the end. And she is mysterious, she seemed to hint she was also a Super, but nothing more of it.
2.) Monster's Inc - A truely imagintive film. A great story. My daughter was about the same age as Boo, so I saw a lot of my daughter in her. Even dressed her like Boo a few times
Randall was an okay villian. I think this is Pixar's best ending. The bittersweet.
3.) Toy Story - Great story, great comedy. Enjoyable everytime I watch it.
4.) Finding Nemo - More so for visual then story.
5.) Toy Story 2 - Jesse annoyed the heck out of me. Her voice and in-your-face personality was just annoying for me. The Prospector was a blah villian. Al was a much better villian
The comedy was still good though.
6.) Bug's Life - Story was blah. Ant and the Grasshopper/Ant in the Big City. They comedy was okay. It had it's moments, but was blah as well.
