I chose Nala from The Lion King because TLK is my favourite movie.

Howdy Doody Folks!
I am so happy to meet someone who appreciates the old greats of the movie industry. I absolutely loved Zazu Pitts/Patsy Kelly. Patsy Kelly was always great, she was very good in the 1960 Doris Day/David Niven classic Please Don't Eat The Daisies. When she portrayed their cook. I also loved her in the origional No No Nannette. "No No Nannette, thats all I hear, I hear it all day long" oh memories what memories. But I liked the Doris Day remake Tea For Two, a lot also. I mean who doesn't like SZ "Cuddles" ScKall. That guy is awesome ya'llHalRoachFan wrote:Just in case anybody cares, the name in my screenname is the name of one of the best comedy writers in the history of cinema.
He created The Little Rascals, Laurel and Hardy, Thelma Todd & Zazu Pitts/Patsy Kelly (I prefer Zazu Pitts, hands down), Harold Lloyd, etc.

Well, at first I was TheLittleMerman because my favorite Disney/non-Disney movie is ... you guessed it- The Little Mermaid, and I am a guy, so it is Mer-man, instead of Mer-maid. Then I changed it to ThinkTink because for some reason me and all my friends went Tinker Bell crazy...then I changed it forever more back to TheLittleMerman for the first statement.

Yay! I love that series, and I love Luna, too!!!Luna wrote:My name comes from the anime series Sailor Moon....it's the name of Usagi/Serena/Sailor Moon's guardian cat ( who is my favorite character in the show)...
Welcome to the boards! It's always nice to meet someone else that likes both Disney and anime!
I've been Siren since 1995. It started with a fan fiction for Gargoyles. I created a character named Siren who was human and mutated into a gargoyle by Dr. Sevarius. She started out tragic, and kinda bad, but then turned around, but went out on her own after she caused too much trouble. I've never shook her since.

Names
I wanted something Disney, and I couldn't think of any creative names with BATB, so I just came up with Lizzie McGuire. I watch it now and then, but it's a good show. Too bad they moved it to 6pm, when Charmed is on...i'm always going to watch Charmed.

I'm surprised I've never revealed the origins of mine name until now although I have posted here before.
Orestes came from a song by A Perfect Circle called Orestes. A couple years ago one of my best friends referred to herself as 'Magdalena' online and myself as 'Orestes'... both named after APC. She was the one who introduced me to the group and picked the name for me. It stuck although I didn't overly use the name until late 2002/ early 2003 (except on MSN).
Orestes and Magdalena became characters in this massive trilogy I wrote a couple years ago as well (Magdalena was part one, Orestes part two and a name I created was part three). So not only is it my name but a character in my fantasy epic which has sadly been lost somewhere in my piles of stories.
Orestes is also from Greek mythology and a name and according to someone I was tlaking to from Brazil it is a female name there.
Anyways here's what Wikipedia has to say about Orestes...
Orestes Ορεστης is a Greek name, literally "he who stands on the mountain", or "mountain-dweller".
...and...
Orestês, in Greek legend, was the son of Agamemnon and Clytemnestra.
