Tangled vs. Frozen
Re: Tangled vs. Frozen: Which one is actually better?
I think Tangled is overall a better film, as far as character, story, structure, pacing and music.
Frozen has better art direction and animation.
Tangled wins.

This really reminds me of the time Beauty and the Beast was released and everyone was comparing it to The Little Mermaid, asking which one is better.
Anyway, I prefer Frozen, although Tangled is very good as well.

Frozen for me is the better film although a bit too much singing early on

Frozen in a landslide. EVERYTHING about it is better, especially the music (which is a big plus to me). Even the things that are similar, Frozen did better.
After years of being told how much better Tangled is than TPATF by rabid diehard Tangled fans, I'm glad to see them suffer as a bigger and better craze comes along. MUAHAHAHA

Re: Tangled vs. Frozen: Which one is actually better?
I'm still voting for Frozen.
I'm hoping I still feel this way when I get my mitts on the Blu next week.
I like Tangled but I don't think it is as good as it thinks it is. Frozen probably isn't either.
I'll give Tangled it's due. It had a much better villain. Mother Gothel was great.
Hans was nice was far too long and turning him evil at the end felt really rushed.
Both feel lacking in the lyrics department and as kylemjsaid, too much music crammed in the beginning.
I prefer Kristoff and Anna to Rapunzel and Flynn. I also think the humour was better in Frozen. I prefer Olaf over Pascal.
The sister story line was very interesting and felt like a fresh angle.
Both had flaws but I think Frozen handled itself better.

Wreck It Ralph.

Tangled. Glen Keane's animation was why I had wanted to see it for such a long time.

"OH COME ON, REALLY?!?!"
Re: Tangled vs. Frozen: Which one is actually better?
I think both of them are equally good.

Completely agree; he is one of the main reasons (I feel) that Tangled is so wonderful.Semaj wrote:Tangled. Glen Keane's animation was why I had wanted to see it for such a long time.

Frozen. Probably unnecessary to ask considering it won the last poll.
It's weird how I'm on the opposite side when the next gen comes around. Tbh, I think TLM and B&tB are closer to equals than Tangled and Frozen. At least in that case, I liked both films. Tangled is just overrated.rodis wrote:This really reminds me of the time Beauty and the Beast was released and everyone was comparing it to The Little Mermaid, asking which one is better.
It is a little bit funny.Lady Cluck wrote: After years of being told how much better Tangled is than TPATF by rabid diehard Tangled fans, I'm glad to see them suffer as a bigger and better craze comes along. MUAHAHAHA

I'd probably give the edge to Frozen, but both movies are wonderful.

1. The Princess and the Frog
2. Tangled
3. Frozen
I liked Frozen but it just seems to be missing something, not sure what it is, but it's missing something.

Tangled …by a nose hair. They both are really wonderful films and pretty much equal in my book.

While I'm not fan of none of them, I'll say "Tangled". It had a tighter and more cohesive storyline and more genuine character development, though I thought the final climax was lackluster.
Re: Tangled vs. Frozen: Which one is actually better?
I really do like both films, yet find them both somewhat imperfect. That said, I ultimately prefer Frozen. Elsa's a more interesting character than anyone in Tangled, as is Olaf and Sven are more likable comic relief characters than Pascal and Maximus, and the songs flow better for me, while let's be real, Alan Menken was on autopilot for Tangled. I also feel that Disney perfected their computer animation process with Frozen.
In its defense though, Mother Gothel is a better villain (even if she isn'r among my favorites), and Tangled's pacing is a little bit tighter.

Agreed. With the exception of the wonderful "I See The Light" and perhaps "Healing Incantation", the songs and the score was lackluster.Avaitor wrote:Alan Menken was on autopilot for Tangled.

Tangled. But I thought Frozen was a great film too.
