The Little Mermaid for water effects and ships sailing maybe, and the cathedral and bells in Hunchback of Notre Dame.....that can warrent 3D I feel. I meant that BatB had at least part of it in 3D, unlike the Lion King for example. before all the conversions were announced, if you asked me which one would be best suitable for a 3D conversion, the first that would come to mind was BatB. when TLK was announced I was like... anyway, I guess you're replied more to the "what films I would like to see in 3D" while i replied to "which film's source material would be best suited for a 3D conversion"
I'm actually glad this is still part of the Diamond list and just glad this will get a blu release. I must say the dvd was amazing extra-wise.
I am scared now though Pinocchio and Sleeping Beauty won't be released anymore in 2015...I didn't buy their blu released a few years back cuz I only wanted diamond edition blu releases....sigh.

First of all, the rumor there will be no more physical releases after 2014. What I meant was if indeed both of them are STILL part of the diamond line. If not, I very much doubt there will be another blu-ray release of Pinocchio only 5 or 6 years after the previous one. Does anyone know for sure if Pinocchio (and Sleeping Beauty) got booted from the Diamond Line? 2) the info that Pinocchio (not SB) was dropped comes from Germany, the same guys who reported that that 101 Dalmatians and Fantasia / Fantasia 2000 have been dropped from Diamond status. 101 Dalmatians is getting a release in some countries in August-September 2012, so it is safe to assume that Pinocchio was dropped as well.

Why does the US, or anyone, think having only online copies would ever be a good idea? If your computer crashes you lose it all but with physical copies you always have them and can play them on TV or other stuff. It's like Kindle and electronic books, yea its cool but if it breaks or runs out of bettery you're screwed but a book won't "break" or run down.
atlanticaunderthesea I think that BatB makes as much if not more sense than the others because of the 3D ballroom and some multi-plane shots and really it was great seeing it in 3D some stuff, like the ballroom dance, was really amazing! But if you still disagree, then okay.

They usually stop producing the digital copy editions of movies before they reach the expiration date. I've noticed the Disney's digital copies are still good even after they have passed the redeem by date (unlike other studios). You can also download a digital copy numerous times as long as you do it with the same iTunes account you used upon the original download. I've switched computers 3 times and have been able to re-download all my Disney digital copies using the disc and code even after they have been "expired" for almost 2 years. I don't mind having digital copies since I don't have a TV in my room, I can play a movie on my laptop as I'm going to bed.

Oh man, this sucks. I was actually glad to see that soo many movies were no longer a part of the Diamond Edition scheme, as we could then get them sooner without the drawn out release schedule. Disney’s decision to put Aladdin back in makes no sense, as it now misses it’s 20th anniversary. There goes my most anticipated release of the year, but at least we have Virtual Vault and Second Screen to look forward to, as I’m sure 3/4 of the supplements will be found in one of those features.
