To think all this started with the word 'sorry'. I do understand how that word could be construed as being condescending and patronising but I do think Lazario should be giving Goliath the benefit of the doubt here. Words on the internet can be easily misinterpreted with no body language or tone of voice.

And both of you probably feel as if you are not at fault and the other party has started this mess but it is still possible to apologise and take the first step towards reconciliation (even if it didn't work before, there is no harm trying again). Your pride will not be damaged and no one will think any worse of whoever apologises.
