23% Genie rule? What's that?

These threads probably should be merged actually, I'm thinking, since like everyone is asking questions that are answered in the other thread.

Thanks for posting that, PheR.

It seems Aladdin & Jasmine's faces are kind of off-model.

so... not fake after all. :D

and yes, they're off model, but they always are in early showed covers (like lion king and Alice)...others are off model in the final cover (sleeping beauty hehehe).

the weirdest thing I can notice, it's Jaffar is too Tiny compared to Aladdin beside him, and he looks funny.

Thanks for posting, Pher! The coverart doesn't look that hot, but I'm sure it will change by October.
The box set looks wonderful, though!

Yes, Aladdin and Jasmine look off model on the cover, but not terribly so, and I think the cover art is quite good overall. I have a feeling their faces will be tweaked by October, though. I *LOVE* the Giftset box and how it matches The Lion King's.

Kinda wish the box was blue instead of purple but oh well. I'll buy it anyways. :P

Jafar and Iago ARE from the original VHS cover.
The coverart for the DVD of Beauty and the Beast is basically the same of the original VHS, only with digital enhancement and different layout. They also used the same image of Belle and the Beast for the coverart (front and back) of "The Enchanted Christmas" (with different clothes, of course).

It's a notch below the previous three platinum covers but it's still nice. It doesn't look very aesthetic to me, they should change Abu's pose and as others mentioned, Aladdin and Jasmine's as well.

Hey all,

What is this OLD Lion King cover pic you talk of? I've already searched for it but came up empty handed. Thanks in advance!

yes I like the LK one but I think it is a little too empty. The Beauty and the Beast was a good one also. Snow White was ok.

It needs the silver strip across the bottom that says "Featuring An All New Musical Number" or something to that effect so that it will match the others.

Jasmine looks horrible! Aladdin isn't so bad, but the flying carpet should be closer so that Aladdin looks much bigger.
